Review summary

You cannot go wrong on an Oasis class ship. Oasis of the Seas is a great choice because it is now the forgotten sibling to all of the newer splashier ships coming from Royal Caribbean.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It is unbelievable how smoothly Royal Caribbean has this process down. We were on the ship in a matter of a few minutes

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The way to go is the main dining room. The buffet options are overrun and tables are scarce. We were not impressed with the speciality dining. Drinks are drinks. Four stars is an average of three star food quality and five star staff interaction

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The reason we LOVE Oasis class ships is that there is an overwhelming number of quality options to stay busy on the ship.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The singular reason I am loyal to Royal is the entertainment value, quality and abundance is second to none

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
If have yet to have an interaction with any employee that is not first rate. I am so happy to see them as soon as I board the ship

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I was on the maiden sailing season of the Oasis of the Seas back in 2010. The ship is still beautiful but a tad worn.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Super happy with the cabin

Ship tip

If you want to dine at the Windjammer, get there when they open for each meal.

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Very fun city

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

4 out of 5
Not much time in port but it is a beautiful city; a cross between Milan and the French Riviera.

La Spezia, Italy

4 out of 5
This is this is the port to Florence. Make sure you book a guided tour. It is overrun with tourists.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

1 out of 5
Port city to Rome. As with Florence, book a guided tour.

Naples, Italy

5 out of 5
My favorite port. Naples is unlike every other city in Italy. Make sure you walk around as much as you can. Very unique.

Disembarkation

Unbelievable!
