Review summary

It was my 25th wedding anniversary and I wish I could have done more for the wife, but overall, it was a good trip, we got to book our next trip on the ship, so we're excited about that!! I recommend you book early, get your drink, dining, internet packages as soon as a good price comes, because the closer you get to the sail date, it will be difficult

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick and easy! We entered the terminal at 12:25, and were aboard the ship by 12:50!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was much better than the last cruise, and the theme menus were excellent.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The pools were crowded on sea days, but the hot tubs were wonderful. The laser tag was great, I wish it were longer. It was a while since I did the zip line, but it was just as I remembered it in 2013! The Ultimate Abyss was great, I only got to go once, as well as the water slides. The deck music was great!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The ice show was spectacular! My favorite was the ducks! Cats was okay, but I felt bad people were walking out on it. The singing and dancing were good and the cast ran up the aisles and scared some of the children. Overall, it was great. The aqua show was awesome! The 80's theme took me back to my younger days! All the old hits spliced together and the performers were extraordinary!!! The 70's party was a blast seeing the crew and fellow shipmates decked out in their 70's gear!! I always enjoy the live music especially the jazz group!!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was excellent! Rohan, my room steward was excellent and whatever we asked for, he provided quickly. Ritchie and Rowelle our waiters were excellent as well!! Great job guys!!! There were three bartenders I didn't catch their names they were moving so fast, but took great care of us, and we never went without a drink as long as they were around. Guests services were very friendly and helpful thank you for going above and beyond!!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The crew maintained the ship very well. Keeping up with over 5k people was a job and they did it well!! The Oasis class is my favorite, however I heard a few complaints from smokers that there were only two places to go to smoke and when it got crowded, because there were A LOT of smokers on this cruise, it was difficult by the pool and casino. I love the space of the ship and it didn't seem so crowded unless you were on a sea day and on the promenade for an activity.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was one of the added cabins in the refurbishment and it was just a bit small than we were used to on an Oasis class ship(we usually get a promenade stateroom),but it was just for showering, sleeping, and changing, so we were good. And it was close to the elevators and stairs, so that was a plus!

Ship tip

Steer clear of the new cruisers. If they've never cruised anywhere or on Royal Caribbean, they will try to dampen your good time. Cruise etiquette goes a long way.

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Beautiful island and knocked Labadee out of the top spot for their private island! We got to share our wedding anniversary with a couple who were getting married on the island. So we have another couple to celebrate our anniversary with next year! The water was warm, the sand was cool, and getting beach chairs were a lot easier than trying to get one on the ship on a sea day lol

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Beautiful place to visit and I must go back to get my full fill of it. It was mainly because we got off the ship too late to really enjoy ourselves and had to hurry back so they wouldn't leave us.

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
Didn't get to get off due to bad weather and put a damper on going to the beach.

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

4 out of 5
The view is always breathtaking, crossing under the Verrazano Bridge is always exciting especially with a ship this large. Seeing the smoke stacks retract was cool

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarking was just as quick. Although, the way the lines were set up had everyone going through a maze could have been better, but it was still quick.
