This is our favorite ship we’ve ever been on! For a family this ship has everything. We really enjoyed the boardwalk and Central Park. They were so unique and something we have never experienced on a ship before. One of the best things was that the ship never felt crowded! With it being such a large ship we thought for sure that we would always feel crowded. However, there were enough activities going on to spread the people out. The Aqua 80 show was fantastic! We loved the specialty dining options. Perfect day at Coco cay is our favorite excursion! So much fun for couples and families. We can’t wait to get another opportunity to go on an Oasis class ship again!

We love boarding in Bayonne. It is the easiest embarkation experience.

Food and Dining

We had the unlimited specialty dining package, and it was worth it! We enjoyed dining at all of the specialty restaurants for lunch and dinner. The chef in the Izumi hibachi restaurant was fantastic! The food was delicious. The only complaint was that we did have raw chicken twice during our cruise. Once in a chicken bowl at Izumi for lunch, and once in the main dining room, when my daughter got the chicken tenders. The head, maître d’, Dennis, in the main dining room, really did go above and beyond to try to make things right. We found a plate of chocolate covered strawberries in our room later that night. I would’ve given the food and dining five stars if it hadn’t been for those two dining experiences. We really enjoyed the extra dining options of Playmakers and Port Side BBQ. Both were delicious! Perfect for lunch and late night snacking. They were great places to hang out with good ambience The bartenders and all the bars were fantastic. They all look like they were enjoying their jobs, and we never had a wait too long to get a beverage. Big shout out to Mark and Maria in Boleros! They really helped make our cruise experience fantastic.
Onboard Activities

There was so much to do! You could never be bored on this ship. I loved the Ultimate Abyss! It definitely made me feel like a kid again! We love the fact that we could always find a seat near the pool. Never felt too crowded for a ship that was at full capacity! We all enjoyed playing some games at the arcade. They have great air hockey tables! We always enjoy pool and other bar games and playmakers did not disappoint. The cruise Director, Katie helped make the cruise a great experience. We loved the balloon drop! My children enjoyed the kids and teens clubs.! We loved the balloon drop! We were fortunate enough to have two balloon drops. One on the first night and one on the Fourth of July. Royal Caribbean knows how to do family fun!
Entertainment

So much entertainment! From the High Cs band to the Aqua 80s show, we loved it! The Aqua 80s show was the best show we’ve ever seen at sea. We did not enjoy Cats, although it is just a personal preference. We just felt like it went on too long without a change in the storyline. But the costumes and dancing were fantastic. The frozen in Time Hans Christian Andersen ice-skating show was fantastic. It was definitely a lot better than I expected. The man who did the artwork while moving the sand blew our mind away. I would pay to see him again!
Children's Programs

My daughter loves going to Ocean adventure to hang out with the other kids. She seemed to play a lot of gaga ball. There didn’t seem to be too many other activities going on, but she still had a great time. My son went to the teen club a few times, although usually just to meet up with other kids, and then they’d leave and go hang out in other parts of the ship. But it was nice that they always had a meeting place.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We always felt like the staff went above and beyond to make all of our dining and beverage experiences good. They always seemed happy to be doing their job. This was nice to see after the past two years of cruising where I felt like a lot of the workers were overworked, and it showed. Our cabin stewardess Donna on the 12th floor was one of the best cabin stewardesses we’ve ever had. She always checked on us and made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. If we asked for something, she always made sure to get it for us. Daves in Playmakers was a fantastic waiter. Always greeted us with a smile on his face! My kids loved to see him in the afternoons.
Ship Quality

The ship design was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed all of the neighborhoods. Being able to experience the outdoors on the boardwalk, while still being at sea was very cool. We almost always sail out of New York and New Jersey so it was wonderful to experience an oasis class ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

It was a typical balcony cabin. Donna did a great job keeping it clean and making sure we were comfortable.
Ship tip
Enjoy your family and make amazing memories! Swim out to the floating tiki bar at Perfect Day and enjoy a cocktail! That was so cool 😎
Always a perfect day. What more is there to say! We spent most of the time in the oasis pool. We love the DJ and bartenders! They never disappoint. The temperature of the pool was quite warm. The food at the shacks was very good. We enjoy the chicken sandwich. My only recommendation would be to add more alcohol to the Coco Locos. I always had to ask for an extra shot because they did not taste like there was any alcohol in them. But I don’t think that’s really anything to complain about! 😂 We love the floating tiki bar. It is always a must do when visiting Perfect Day! Even if it’s for only one drink. We had a great time and even got to see how they restock the floating tiki bar! 😂 picture below. We truly love the bartenders that work for the Oasis. They are the best we’ve seen on any ship! Shout out again to Mark Maria, Ricardo and Daves!!
I am giving the Bahamas three stars for their new pier. We got off to see all the new stuff they have built. They did a fantastic job. It looks absolutely beautiful. The Nassau museum is very nice. The shops are clean and organized and no one is pushy regarding sales. They have a very nice and hygienic area for hair braiding, and a large beautiful amphitheater. Unfortunately, there was no music playing when we were there. Maybe next time! We went one block into town and did some quick shopping and then got back on the ship.
We did not do any shore excursions this time. We did enjoy seeing a lot of marine life as we entered Port Canaveral, and while docked at the pier. We saw dolphins, sea turtles, and even a shark!
