We have sailed with NCL 8 times, this was our first time with RCCL.
I have to be honest and say that we were disappointed in quality and selection of food.
We were shocked when we saw what the buffet offered. Very limited and the food just had little to no taste. We did do Cagneys and it was excellent as well as Playmakers Pub

This is where RCCL shines.
The ship was absolutely beautiful and there was always something to do, regardless of age group.

We saw the ice skating show with our grandchildren and it was great.
We are glad we caught it.
Service and Staff

Unfortunately, I feel this was another area where RC lacked. Our room steward was EXCELLENT. Very friendly and attentive.
We also met some great crew members who sparked up conversations with us and fretted us with warm smiles. But I feel there were more crew members who were not very friendly, nevermind getting a smile out of them.
We noticed that right away. I felt sad for some of them, it’s almost like they didn’t want to be there.

Balcony cabin was clean. No complaints and our cabin steward was GREAT!
Ship tip
I have only previously cruised with NCL so that is the only thing I can compare this cruise to. We had a great time and I’m glad we gave RCCL a go but I do think we will be sticking with NCL
