Review summary

Overall, this is an amazing ship with fantastic staff. My favorite part of the whole ship was Central Park. I loved getting my coffee and sitting in a little alcove of trees. Beautiful! The ports of call were just so-so, but the RC Coco Cay private island is a true paradise!

Embarkation

Stressful because we got caught in a traffic jam in NYC. But they did allow us to board because we had all our papers ready!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great food! The staff was fantastic! My only suggestion is that Norwegian include more restaurants such as the BBQ restaurant, Johnny Rockets, and Playmakers. These were all "extra" which seemed ridiculous bc hamburgers and wings are not expensive items for the ship. RC even charged for popcorn at the Boardwalk celebration!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
So many things to do! Zip line, Flo Rider, Rock climbing, Amazing shows like Cats, Frozen in Time and Aqua80. However, the spa did not have a very good relaxation room--it should really have some lemon and cucumber infused water at the very least and some relaxing spa music

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Aqua80 was easily the best show I've ever seen on a cruise ships. The CATS performance was top notch and Frozen in Time was fun!

Children's Programs

Cabin / Stateroom

It felt a bit cramped with 4 people but it was very nice and our cabin attendant was outstanding. They should upgrade the trash cans in the bathroom which have a weird swinging lid and it's impossible to get anything to go in.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

Lovely view of NYC! Super cool going under the bridge with only 10 feet to spare. Just a bit hard to get to with the traffic.

Port Canaveral, Florida

Loved seeing the Kennedy Space Center! But with the ship getting there at 1pm, there was not a lot of time (the space center closes at 5). Also, the ship sponsored excursion filled up fast, so we were on our own with transportation and getting tickets.

Nassau, Bahamas

The walkway from the ship to the city was excruciatingly hot. We got roped into getting on a ferry to Paradise Island. Word to the wise: Don't ever pay for round trip! It's a $5 per person for either a cab or ferry. Much easier by cab!

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

The Royal Caribbean island was a true paradise. They keep everything pristine. My son went to the water park and got some serious abrasions on his back from the slides. They definitely need some sort of mats to protect people from this!

Disembarkation

They had breakfast before departure but only until 8am. We were one of the last off the ship but everyone was very nice!
