Dont give them debit card. Give them a credit card you have set up just for cruises that way you can dispute charges and no cash of yours is on hold at your bank

Dont give these fuckers anything other than a credit card. Gave my debit card they put holds on it after they had been paid for what i spent on boat said it just a hold it will fall off in 7-10 business days. the hold was 1200

I had a similar issue with Disney Cruise Line in 2018. I also learned the hard way not to use a Debit card. It took 12 days for the hold to fall off. Lesson learned, we now have a Credit Card we dedicate for travel.

This isn't new information. With debit cards, it is up to the bank to remove the hold or let it expire when a corresponding charge doesn't come through. Same for any rental car or hotel for incidentals, do not use a debit card. Watch out for the gasoline pumps that pre authorize $100 for gas to prevent theft. Don't use your debit card there either.

That is really useful. I have never had an issue with that but I certainly don’t want my debit card funds tied up forever. I changed mine to a credit card. Thanks so much for the good advice.
