Review summary

If you want the experience of a Christmas cruise, for me one and done! Very costly for Christmas decorations but realize it's a captured audience children are out of school but if you are traveling alone, or another adult, save your money and go out of season!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Went very well my 9 year old granddaughter had to get a covid test before boarding and only took about 30 minutes for results

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything was great, on the last 2 nights we lost our waiters because they were exposed to Covid and were quarantined for 5 nights, other than that everything went smoothly, except my 17 year old grandson came down w Coved the next day! But my granddaughter and I test negative!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Couldn't keep my granddaughter off the slides, and pool for 7 hours straight at sea!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The headliner shows were excellent, Musicians are top quality, Cats is not my favorite musical but stayed till the end, and thought the actors, and singer were very good! the rest was all Christmas, and my grandchildren was not interested, but took them to the Christmas show which you could tell it was put together pretty quickly!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My 17 year old always loves the teen club. but unfortunately that's were he came in contact with another teenager w coved

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters were excellent unfortunately they were put into guaranty the last two days for being in contact w someone who had coved. The room steward who I always tip well in the beginning of the cruise, was very unfriendly, she seemed like she was really burned out, I'm sure because of Christmas not being w family and rooms that was a mess because of children being cramped in a 8x15 room, the last day leaving the ship we said goodbye and thankyou, didn't even respond to us!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Crew is always sanitizing, and painting the ship!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Like I posted in the previous rating, the room steward was very unfriendly!

Ship tip

Lots of things to do, and first cruisers might feel overwhelmed, and want to get everything in, but it is impossible to do everything! Also the ship is very big so get your location, and bearings of the ship as early as you don't lose precious time trying to find out where you are!!

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
My 7th cruise this year and always sit by the Oasis, LOVE COCO CAY!!

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

4 out of 5
Went on the sky ride I have been there before, but the kids were ok w it, I'm starting to think I have taken them on a lot of cruises, and they would rather stay on the ship!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
I enjoyed the bus ride, and was informative, but again kids fell asleep, but they enjoyed the boat ride!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Always very organized, and if you have your time between 9-9:30 you can expect to get off the ship about 8:30

Appreciate your detailed review. Sorry the 17yo caught Covid but glad you didn’t. We find holiday cruises with a large amount of children too much for our comfort. Glad you enjoyed your in spite of the hiccups.
