Review summary

Disappointing for the price they charge they could at least have comfortable mattresses. I expected to have hot food as well! I will be giving Carnival another try next time. Old 70’s music is not enjoyable to everyone either

Embarkation

Some of the workers at the terminal were not smiling and friendly at all

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
I only went to the main dining room one night! My steak was so tough I could barely cut it. Not to mention the food in the dining room and the Windjammer was barely room temperature! We were very disappointed that the quality of the food has gone down compared to previous cruises before the pandemic. The only hot food that was good was at The Playmakers and the new Barbecue specialty restaurant.

Onboard Activities

Mini golf was good for my children

Entertainment

Old music nothing current for younger people like Carnival

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The one night we went to the main dining area the waiter rushed service and needed to slow down and engage with us more. He talked 100mph! The Stateroom attendant named Jimwell was the only outstanding person I can remember. He really went above and beyond to meet our needs.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Easy to find your way around with all the easy to understand directions accessible on every floor. The ship was cleaned well from what I could see.

Cabin / Stateroom

It was too small and the beds are as hard as a rock now for some reason! If you have any back issues please bring a cheap mattress pad in your suitcase!

Ship tip

Please bring a mattress pad if you don’t like extremely firm beds! I wish I would have known that. We were in pain the whole week!

The same as St Thomas unfortunately there were some locals at a little outside bar area arguing and dropping f bombs right in front of tourists including our children

Disembarkation
