Review summary

Wonderful! This was a special cruise for mother-in-law started with a 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin. Lucky to Royalup the experience to an Aqua Theater 2 bedroom/2 bath suite. Had a massage while in Port Canaveral, a shaded bed in Cococay and trip to Pearl Island in Nassau. Weather was great, a spot of rain (nice change) and mostly smooth seas. Having a Genie (Allan) was...WOW.... Magical! He scheduled our specialty dining, both on the balcony & in the restaurants. He reserved the best seats in the house for entertainment (it was a if the performers were singing and performing TO us!) Drinks were always in our hands, treats always waiting... a very truly special experience.

We were able to board an hour early but it was so swift, we missed boarding with our Genie, Allan!

Food and Dining

The deluxe drink & food package was included for Star class. We never went to the Main Dining room, but we did have some of their food delivered to our room - good. Chef's table was great (note: the wine pairing normally included with the Chef's Table upcharge was an EXTRA charge of $25 pp for Star class diners, as they said it was above the deluxe drink package max of $13 per drink). Izumi's hibachi was the BEST (did this twice). Playmakers great (they had the Impossible Burger!!!) & Portside BBQ was the others favorite.

Food was very good, husband had the lobster (already shelled and displayed on the open tail halves, he missed the fun of cracking it)They accommodate vegetarians by beginning me the vegi options from 150 Broadway and eggplant from Giovannis.

It was good, quick, but not great for adults. Kids would thoroughly enjoy this though. At least we can say we finally did this, don't do if you don't like tight places.

Casino Royale

Very good, slots had more variety than other ships. However, hardly heard about big payouts on this ship compared to others so we stopped trying so hard.

Cats was fabulous! Never realized the extensive ballet skills needed as well as the vocal range. Musicians were great.

2 Bedroom Aqua Theater Suite - Amazing! Balcony was the same square footage as the suite. The views are magnificent. The master bedroom bath has a tub with a curtain (I liked the privacy when husband using the sink) however, if you're taller than 6 feet, you might want to use the shower in the other bathroom. All rooms are quiet; balcony (3 sided) was noisy during football games Sunday & Monday; watching the aqua shows each night never got old; private balcony on the sea side was great. Dining available inside and on balcony. I can't praise the suite enough!!!! Spectacular!!!

Ship tip

My husband and i love this ship. However, consider your location of your cabin if you travel with the elderly; it's difficult for the older folks to get around. While we went from the regular 2 bedroom to the aqua 2 bedroom, the added distance for a 79 year old woman with a cane was very difficult. We should have stayed with the regular 2 bedroom by the elevator for her convenience.
