Review summary

Over all, we thought the Oasis of the Seas was the best cruise we have ever taken. We've cruised over 20 times on many cruise lines but found this cruise and the ports exciting and completely enjoyable. We absolutely loved the crew and our wonderful Concierge's Lyli and Jandi. We can't compliment them enough. They took a disappointing situation with our room attendant and turned it around to make sure we had a wonderful time. We would not book the Aqua Suite again as a couple looking for upper end service. We would recommend the Aqua "family" Suite for a young family who wanted a little bit privacy between children and parents/grandparents. Watching the shows from the suite was incredible especially when the divers were parallel to us from their diving boards. The food was spectacular in the Coastal Kitchen, The Windjammer and at the Chief's Table, Chops and Giovanni's. A special compliment to Valentine who was our waiter at Giovanni's two nights in a row. He made both nights incredibly special and the food was phenomenal. If you are looking for a great experience with children or you want a romantic get away with your special guy/gal, this is a perfect vacation.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was incredible especially in the Coastal Kitchen, Giovanni's and the chef's table!

Coastal Kitchen

5 out of 5

Wonderful service with a smile even on the last day of the cruise. Delicious food and great bartenders! We ate most of our meals in the Coastal Kitchen because the food was so great and the staff knew us after the first day and what we liked to eat and drink.

Windjammer Cafe

5 out of 5

Had lunch in the Windjammer one of the days at sea. The food was really good and there was a wonderful selection. Loved that there were hand washing stands at the entrance of the Windjammer and everyone seemed diligent about washing hands before eating.

Starbucks

5 out of 5

Loved getting Starbucks every morning just like home! They even got my difficult order right each time.

Giovanni's Table

5 out of 5

Incredible food and atmosphere especially at the outside tables looking out to central park. Ask for Valentine and tell him the Browns sent you! You'll be glad you did!!!

Chop's Grille

5 out of 5

Lovely restaurant and great steaks!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We didn't participate in many of the activities but there was certainly enough to do for any age on board.

Vitality at Sea Spa

5 out of 5

We had a fantastic couples massage at the spa on my husbands birthday. The massage therapists were so great. They found all the stress spots and worked them out so we could enjoy the cruise. Well worth the money and not much more than a massage on land.

Suite Lounge

5 out of 5

Loved the quick snacks and drinks served all day without the lines and crowds. Well worth the suite price to use the lounge and Coastal Kitchen.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The performers were top-notch everywhere on the ship. We especially enjoyed Aqua 80 as the divers and swimmers were incredible!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We booked a suite so we had access to the concierge and the Coastal Kitchen. The service from the staff was exemplary!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship has just gone under a major renovation. All the common areas were kept super clean and there were Purell stands everywhere. People were very diligent about using hand washing troughs and Purell stands especially before eating. The common areas of the ship made you feel as though you were in a city on the sea. Simply stunning.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
This was the only downer part of the trip. We booked an aqua suite thinking that it was the same level of service as the sky Loft and upper-level Suites, but it was not. The suite should be more correctly named Aqua family suites as it would have been perfect for parents with two small children. We were in 11330 over looking the Aqua theater. We had a living room and a separate bedroom with full bath. The room had been added to the ship and it was sold as a suite but not on the concierge level of the ship. We were disappointed in our room attendant who did not empty trash cans, give us clean glasses or report that our shower was overflowing due to a clogged drain. Our wonderful concierge handled the issues and all was corrected. If we book this ship again, we would not book the Aqua suite for a couple looking for upper level service.

Ship tip

Definitely take advantage of the specialty restaurants and particularly the chef's table! You will be glad you did. not be sorry.

Always a treat on Labadee especially when you are in the sky class level. The food and the service was incredible.

Beautiful city and very fun. We didn't do any of the excursions we just wondered around and took in the sights.

Again, we decided not to do an Excursion but loved the port and the City view from our deck.
