Review summary

We loved this cruise! Our favorite thing about Oasis is that there is something for every person and every mood. You can truly make your vacation as laid-back, or adventurous, or as formal and up-scale as you want it to be. We did everything from FlowRider and waterslides/Ultimate Abyss, to just laying by the pool, to trivia, to Chef's Table, to sitting at bars and people watching. We were never bored! And Royal Caribbean service has never been less than top notch to us.

Embarkation

Embarkation at the Miami port was so simple and efficient! We were on the ship probably within 30 minutes after parking.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was great (I love food and I am not picky). No complaints about drinks, deluxe drink package was definitely worth it for us.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There is something for everybody on this ship! Plenty of adventure (FlowRider, rock climbing, zip line, ice skating), enough pools to not feel overcrowded outside, shopping, and lots of places to sit and people watch.

Entertainment

We only saw Aqua80, and it was awesome!

Service and Staff

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our servers, bartenders, and stateroom attendant provided excellent service!

Ship Quality

Everything seemed very well-maintained and mostly clean. Nothing seemed outdated or worn out. The greenery in Central Park is well taken care of. I really appreciated the many handwashing stations outside if the Windjammer!

Cabin / Stateroom

We've only had an interior room on a different ship before this, so that's all we have to compare it to, but this room was much bigger than we expected. We were afraid there would be a lot of noise being near the elevators and on the same floor as Central Park and Music Hall, but there wasn't at all. Once we were in our room, we couldn't hear anything outside of it (except for our neighbor's television a few evenings, and even that was not bad).

Ports of call

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Dragon's Breath Flight Line was awesome!! We also booked the beach lounger for 2, and we were so glad we did. We checked in to the lounger as soon as we got off the ship, then did our zipline excursion, then went straight to our loungers for the rest of the day and did not have to worry about trying to find a spot on the crowded beach!

Cozumel, Mexico

Nice port area and very friendly and helpful people! We went to Mr. Sancho's instead of doing an organized excursion. Taxis were easy to find and get. Mr. Sancho's was great. Then we went to Senor Frog's for a tequila shot just to say we did :)

Falmouth, Jamaica

The port area is very nice and had many shops. We had an excursion booked- Appleton Estates Rum Experience with Lunch and Beach Break. We knew we weren't actually going to the Appleton Estates disitillery, but the atmosphere was still a little bit disappinting, maybe because there were only 3 couples there and we were the only ship in port that day. The rum was great! We actually ended up purchasing a bottle in the gift shop (where you can also sample all of their rum cream flavors). Our jerk chicken lunch with rice and beans was delicious. Then we were transported to Blue Waters Beach Resort, which was beautiful and had a fun party atmosphere- we'll probably just go there for the whole day if we go again.

Disembarkation

We did self-service express and it is the way to go! We handle our own luggage and get off the ship super quickly.
