Review summary

Overall, we really liked the cruise. Liked the itinerary where you only have 1 sea day at max between ports. The food all over the ship was great. The crew and service were awesome. The shows we saw were outstanding.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived at Port Canaveral later than anticipated due to a major accident on the freeway, but it was only about 20 minutes or so from the time we got off the shuttle until we were onboard.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food quality, especially in the MDR was great. Only real complaint is that the food on the buffets wasn't hot.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools were crowded, especially on sea days. Wife really enjoyed the mini-golf tournament.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Didn't see Cats, but all the other shows, i.e. Aquashow, Come Fly with Me, Comedy, Headliner, and Ice Show were great!

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All I can say is that the crew was awesome. When my wife didn't come to dinner with us on the third night due to a bad bout of acid reflux, both waiters and the head waiter were really concerned and several times asked me if I wanted to take a plate up to the room for her. Our steward helped keep our room tidy, and left us several cute towel animals at turndown time.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Only reason I dinged it was that it seems to be lacking in elevator capacity. Several times gave up and took several flights of stairs due to full elevators.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was quite nice. For our needs (which included a CPAP) there were adequate electrical outlets. There were only two of us, but if there had been more, it would have been rather crowded. Bed was hard, but I slept great.

Ship tip

Don't trust the RC phone app. It doesn't refresh automatically, and between my wife's and my phone, the calendars never jived. Be prepared for lots of walking and lots of steps.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Just used to embark and disembark.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
This is an excellent beach day at no cost. Everything you have on the ship follows you to the shore. Beach (Columbus Cove) got a little crowded, but we got there early and got in the shade. The food was great. The merchants weren't overly aggressive. There were some groups of Haitian dancers going around for a taste of their culture. A very enjoyable, relaxing day.

Falmouth, Jamaica

4 out of 5
Lots of shopping inside the gated port area. On a whim, we took one of the local "bike rickshaw" tours. Only cost $25, and was well spent. The driver took us out into Falmouth, was our guardian angel in the shopping gauntlet, and told us a lot about the history of the place. It gave us a taste of the real Jamaica.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Huge shopping area inside the port. We did the Dolphin Encounter at Dolphinaris. Really liked it. All inclusive, and the food was tasty and the drinks strong. Their wait staff was constantly asking if we needed anything else.

Disembarkation

We did self assist, and left the ship about 8:00. Lines for customs were already growing, but the entire process only took about 45 minutes.
