Review summary

I am hooked on cruising and have already booked our next cruise in 2020.

Embarkation

Organized and efficient but the whole operation at security stopped for about 20 min. Other than that it was perfect.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
4.5. Pastries were awful. But everything else was fantastic. Our server Goran was amazing! Very caring and attentive! The last night I spent $16 on the filet mignon in the main dining room. I highly recommend it! Much larger cut than you’d get anywhere else.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Loved the trivia especially Harry Potter. Although I’m still mad I missed ONE question but I digress. Our adult kids loved the flow rider, sports activities and rock climbing. Zip line was MEH. We were never bored.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Love and marriage was hilarious but geared towards adults. Oasis of dreams and the comedy show at the aqua theater was great. The adult comedy even had my husband laughing. He hates stand up (weirdo). My adult kids recommend not sitting with your parents for that one.

Children's Programs

No kddos

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The only unfriendly staff and service was in Park Cafe and the Promenade Cafe. Main dining lroom was great. Room steward wasn’t overly friendly but he did a great job.

Ship Quality

Man. I wish cleanliness and design were in two separate categories. I’d give cleanliness a 5 and ship design 2. I liked the ship but one major thing I didn’t like was the casino entrance right by the main dining room entrance. It reeked of smoke every day. We could smell it at the tables located by the doors. Luckily we were further back so we just had to endure it when coming in. I tried using another floor for a breakfast but because of the open design I could still smell it. I thought it smelled terrible!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean and neat. We couldn’t figure out the AC at first. Maybe that master switch should be farther from the light switch? But it was comfortable. Slept great. Never heard anyone else. The couch was a little worn. Plenty of storage for 2 people. Balcony was amazing and really opened up the cabin. Shower was small but well designed.

Ship tip

Don’t miss the roast beef sandwiches at Park Cafe

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

We had a cabana which was nice and I highly recommend it. We had a full view of the ship across the water. It was beautiful. I was not fan of the market area. Nothing is free. Just FYI.

Falmouth, Jamaica

Beautiful port. We did Dolphin Cove and Dunns River Falls. Don’t do Dolphin Cove unless you are doing the interaction. I got bored pretty quick but it was also a little chilly. I would recommend taking those not doing the interaction separately. Because of a computer glitch a few people were over an hour late getting back to our bus. We were really looking forward to the falls and did not get much time there. It was very rushed.

Cozumel, Mexico

Loved this place! I wouldn’t choose the clear kayak and snorkel adventure again. The reef is still recovering so it wasn’t all that spectacular in the kayak. It wasn’t bad, just not what I expected.

Disembarkation

Long lines of course but easy.
