Review summary
Our first cruise, given as a gift by our daughter to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Loved it and talking of plans to cruise again. So may highlights, I'll need to write them down so I can remember them all. The night the headliner show recognized those celebrating their 50th or more anniversaries was very special, called up and were able to dance. Then when at Dazzles before we left hubby again surprised me and we danced. The food, the staff, talking with folks from other countries. We have to go again, we could not do it all. Oh and sitting on our balcony and watching the ocean and sometimes land go by. Coming into and leaving Ports of Call. Unplugging from social media was relaxing also. Loved it all.Embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
Dazzles
Spent about an hour there listening to the music, one dance right before we left. Nice.
Rising Tide Bar
I did not go into the bar, but enjoyed watching it rise and the waterfall, and of course the people watching of those coming and going.
Wipe Out Cafe
They had a fabulous Chicken Salad sandwich the day we were there, and their soft serve ice cream and sorbet were a treat.
Windjammer Cafe
This was so good, but I did get lost from hubby first time. After that we chose a table and went one at a time to get our food. So many choices. And all of those we choose were fabulous.
Sorrento's Pizza
Actually had to skip dinner one night because I was just too full from lunch. About 10 that evening I did get hungry, and the pizza was perfect and hit just the right spot.
Solarium Bistro
The times we ate here we enjoyed it very much. And The views from the table were spectacular.
Main Dining Room
It was beautiful, the food was fabulous. There was so much to choose from. The staff were awesome, taking care of our every need, and also charming and entertaining all at the same time.
Onboard Activities
Swimming Pools
For me going in the morning to pools was best. Too crowded for me later in the day except the Solarium Pool, which I did do later in day.
Solarium
This was nice. A quieter venue, especially for breakfast when we wanted the quieter time. Was able to get into this pool a few times and just relax even when it was crowded. Enjoyed the more peaceful atmosphere.
Guest Services and Explorations!
When I needed them they were very helpful. Like when our safe malfunctioned and was sending out an alarm and would not open. They were right there and took care of the problem.
Carousel
Rode this with my daughter. Just stood and went around it was fun. Wasn't ready for the challenge of climbing onto one of the horses. Still a good time.
Beach Pool
Early mornings were best time for us with no crowds then.
Entertainment
Studio B
I'm getting this confused with the Opal Theatre, but shows we saw here are awesome.
Theater
Getting a little confused with this and Studio B. But the shows we saw here were good.
Comedy Live
It was good.
AquaTheater
Fabulous Show.
