Review summary

Had a terrific time because we were spending time with family and you don't let the small things ruin any vacation. We had fabulous waiter/busboy and Cabin Attendant. Guest Services were helpful and friendly as was most of the staff onboard. But just too big of a ship. Prefer the smaller ones and this is our 30th cruise so we have past experience.

Embarkation

Staff checking us in was amazing. Was so smooth and easy.

Onboard Activities

Enjoyed the pool. Solarium pool is a waste of space. Like sitting in a cold whirlpool. Tried numerous times to try the Zip Line but lines were always too long and staff not the least bit helpful. Did enjoy the walking track. That's outstanding! Too much Trivia and too little other activities (e.g. bean bag toss, putting challenge, shuffle board). If you returned to your room TV selection is extremely poor. Especially for adults. And what kid wants to watch Dora The Explora in the evening!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the stage shows but because of the size of the ship, you had to make reservations well in advance and they were the same all week. Disappointing

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Except when using the Valet Luggage Service. Be aware that there are a lot of bugs that need to be worked out. We were told everything was "good to go" and found out last minute the ship NEVER checked us onto our departing flight and then blamed it on the airline. Not good customer relations. Leaves you mistrusting the staff

Cabin / Stateroom

Balcony Cabin-our attendant was terrific. Made sure if we needed anything, it was right there. He worked extremely hard and all hours of the day and night.

Ship tip

Be aware of miscommunications if using their Valet Luggage service. As the saying goes "if it sounds too good to be true, it is"!

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

The beaches are nice but shopping in the downtown area can be a nightmare. Store clerks constantly at you to stop and buy from their stores even when you tell them no.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

I prefer the smaller ships also. Grandeur is my favorite because of the outstanding crew but I also like Serenade, Jewel, Enchantment, & Vision. Even Freedom is too big for me & I despise Navigator. After our back to back on Oasis in Dec I'll go back to the smaller ships.

The Oasis has shuffle board... it is back by the Aqua theater, 1 deck up. I found the Oasis had more activities than you could possibly do in a weeks time. Pingpong competitions, dodgeball, rock climbing, zipline (yes had a line, but it was only 20 min), puttputt, wave riders, and yes I agree the Solarium pool is small, but you do have 3 other adult pools to choose from! Lol heck, you can even get your scuba lessons on the Oasis! Far too many activities for his post space to list! Lol

Good review, I too agree that the tv selection was poor for adults. The running/walking track was awesome. Samehere also with the long lines for zip lining 😁
