Review summary

Overall I wasn't impressed with the Oasis of the Seas. It is one of the largest ships in the world but it lacks the wow factor when it comes to the entertainment and onboard activities. The ship itself is beautiful. When we walked on, we were amazed and super excited. Once we realized that they didn't have many options of onboard activities the excitement went away. The port calls were okay. Haiti was a beach trip. Once you made it through the annoying locals, it was nice and relaxing. I signed up for the dune buggy excursion in Jamaica. That was a lot of fun. Must do! Cozumel is a shoppers haven. Loved it!! That is where I spent a lot of money. I will return to Jamaica and Cozumel. Not on the Oasis of the Seas though.

Ship tip

Bring walking shoes. Glad I did. It is a huge ship and you will do plenty of walking.

I read everyone’s comments on here. No, Oasis is not the ship for me. The only show that was good was the aqua show. The karaoke room was tiny. I have been on ships where the room was huge and everyone could enjoy it without sitting on the floor. I felt the same about the comedy room as well except for the last show that was in a different room. The adult pool closed at 7. That is crazy. Overall, this ship is just not for me. I will continue cruising but just not on Oasis. I actually already booked my next cruise. I am glad all of you had a great time. I am not in the name calling business or putting others down because of their opinions. Keep sailing and having a blast!

I was on the same cruise and couldn't find enough time to get to half the things we wanted to do! We booked another cruise onboard and want to go back just to get to the things we missed this trip!

We have sailed on Oasis of the Seas 2 Times now, 2 weeks ago and last summer. HD a great time. So much to do. It took us two sailings to get through the activities and we still didn’t get to them all. Next June we will be on Harmony of the Seas.

Wow! I couldn’t find enough time to do it all!

sailed, not smiled lol

ava2006, I smiled her the 1st year she was on the ocean and we double booked so much we would flip a coin for our activity. Saying there are not enough activities is totally bogus. A novice cruiser might not know to take a high lighter and hit everything the night before in the cruise compass that interests you. No worries!

What! I heard you could never be bored on that ship you’ll always have something to do weather it’s rock climbing, flowriding or ice skating

karlee    6 years ago

Lots of activities, from zippy lining to p.o. put golf, ice skating, swimming , trivia, too many to mention... did you read your compass,

At first I was going to say "you're crazy!" but that would be rude. So I will just respectfully disagree with you.

OMG 😮 If there wasn’t enough activities and entertainment for you on Oasis then cruising is not for you. 🤦‍♀️

Wow, really? Nothing to do on the OASIS? Perhaps you boarded the wrong ship in error?

Wow not sure we were on the same ship and we’ve sailed her a few times. Between aqua theater show, ice show, come fly with me, cats (though did not enjoy), headliner, comedy, bands/live music at Boleros, the pub, Dazzles and DJ at Solarium and Blaze along with pool side music, movies, trivia, Promenade parties. There’s more entertainment avail to you than on any other ship. That’s without flow rider, golf, rock climbing, zip line.....

Did you see same shows as i did? The dive show, ice show were awesome

Charlou    6 years ago

Between the pool, flowrider, ice skating, mini golf, gym, climbing wall, zip line, all the shows and entertainment. That’s just to make a few. And you still found there was not enough activities on that ship? Clearly, the Oasis of the seas is not a cruise ship for you.

If you get bored and can’t find anything to do on the oasis class ships then you are not participating in things going on during the day or night maybe cruising is not for you but don’t give up on cruising try again enjoy your cruise is I love to cruise

My mistake...We have been on the Oasis 3 times

PsychoAndBarb    6 years ago

Sorry you didn’t like the Oasis. We however love the Oasis and believe there is too many onboard activities. It’s our favorite ship...Been on her four times and have another one booked for Jan 2019

we always make our own fun on the ships! boring day at sea is always better than a great day at work😁happycruising

Wow! We had opposite reactions. Did you read the Cruise Compass daily? There were so many activities & shows we couldn’t do it all in a week so we’re going again. This is honestly the first review I’ve read saying Oasis lacked entertainment & activities. There’s numerous things going on all the time throughout the ship. Sounds like smaller ships would be more entertaining to you. Happy cruising!!
