Review summary

We have done this itinerary several times on the different cruises and enjoy going to Jamaica and learn more about Haiti every time we go. We do not go into Cozumel any more due to the travel warning we have stateside for Mexico but the ship does offer many excursions. It is just our preference. There are places to shop and eat close to the dock that we feel safe going to. Just be aware of what is going on. You are in foreign countries. Each one does it's best I believe to protect tourists as this is a big deal financially for them. Have fun and be safe.

Embarkation

We are loyal RCCL cruisers so we had an excellent embarkation experience. There was quite a line to be processed but seemed like everyone else was moving along at a steady pace. There are close to 6k passengers so bring your patience with you.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We love the dining room experience. This cruise we did the My Time dining but I forgot to reserve the times. We waited in line for a short time but it was not a big inconvenience. HINT make online reservations for your Time.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There is so much to do on this ship! All day long there are things to keep the young ones and us older folks busy. AGAIN make reservations for any activity you are interested in as soon as you can prior to your cruise. There is not a venue onboard that holds 6k passengers and you may not get into the one you want. We loved the movie at the Aqua Theatre.

Entertainment

We watched the Headliner Show on this cruise and I was not impressed. My husband liked it. Keep in mind that these shows change so you should always try to see it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We could not have asked for better service. Bars, dining, stateroom attendant were all amazing!

Ship Quality

The Oasis is a floating city and is beautiful. We love to go during the quiet times and sit in Central Park. It has trees, birds, flowers, benches to sit and relax and an excellant eating place. You may like the shopping deck or Promenade more or the Boardwalk which has a Carousel. My husband and I do ride the carousel for a little childhood nastalgia. As far as clean.....you don't get any cleaner than RCCL ships. It is an ongoing process that you will notice.

Cabin / Stateroom

The size of our cabin was good. The layout is pretty typical for cabins. You have to use every bit of storage space to it's maximum potential. There are literally 3 drawers, one small and 2 big that we each used one a piece. Be prepared to hang almost everything. There are a few shelves in the closet also but they will fill fast. They really need to update the TVs in stateroom as they are not HD and we went through 3 remotes!

Ship tip

You can't go wrong with this class of ship.

Ports of call

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
We did the Labadee Traditions tour and it was AWESOME. Very good little Island history lesson with traditional dancing.

Falmouth, Jamaica

We did the Blue Waters All Inclusive and it was very nice. Be prepared to spend a little extra for and umbrella $10.

Disembarkation

We do the Self Assist and carry our luggage off the ship. Very fast if you want or need to get off early.
