Getting on the ship was a very smooth process from start to finish

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
OK first off about the dinning room we went with a permenent late dinning time of 8 pm. We will never do late dinning time again we come to the conclusion that everything is cooked For early dinning and kept warm for late dinning. Not only did we have a bad experience with our waiter And cold food We only had 4 people at our table but the ones around us had 6 or more at their table so they got catered to more because of their rich culture and knew they would get more TIPS otherwords better tips I won't mention names but their were lots of Jewish and Italians on the ship that got special treatment. OK the buffet dinning was much better If we hadn't already paid for dinning room gratuities We wouldn't have even went back for the meals.I did complain to the manager of the dinning room but things didn't change. We did eat at Giovanni's Italian and it was Delicious

Onboard Activities

Our canbin Stewart was Daniel he was very pleasant and kept our room very clean. All of the towel aminlals were cute

Ship tip

The Experience we had on the ship was a life lesson. The ship is so big and so many people on board that the ratio to people and service people need lots of WORK. IF YOU EXPECT TO BE TREATED THE SAME AS EVERYONE ELSE DONT TAKE THIS SHIP. THEY EVEN GAVE CERTAIN PEOPLE THEIR OWN ELEVATOR TO GO TO CERTAIN EVENTS. JUST SAYING WE HAVE DECIDED TO GO BACK TO CARNIVAL HAVE ALWAYS HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT THE LEAST BEING TREATED MORE AS AN EQUAL PASSENGER ON THEIR SHIPS

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Haiti was nice to visit but would never go back. Jamaica have been their numerous times always have a good experience. Mexico have been their numerous times as well with good times Took an excursion to Man village and chocolate tasting and tequeila Tasting and it is a nice excursion.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Was not overly impressed no modern shops just Island people trade. And they beg you to buy from them and make you feel obligated to shop at every shop.

Falmouth, Jamaica

Cozumel, Mexico

Disembarkation

We decided to take the early embark but you have to be able to take all your luggage with you off the ship instead of leaving it in the hallway the high before. We highly recommend doing the early embark if you can handle your luggage you get off much quicker. Also you get through customers much faster which was a good experience.

Carnivals crew seems more relaxed & friendly. It's hard for the RC crew to keep up with the demands of such a huge ship. I was told that Carnival had decided to not build a monster ship because it's so hard to keep the level of service and tough on the crew. They are both great depending on what you want.

I don't think it is fair to say carnival is 3 steps below royal Caribbean.. I have been on most all cruise lines and can say there are pro's and con's with each... It's a matter of personal preference!

Carnival is 3 steps below Royal Caribbean. Unless price is your only hot button. They do not even compare, and it is not even debatable
