This cruise I spent over two hours in line to "fix" things like, DRIED FECES on the underside of my 7 year old son's comforter from previous guests which we discovered after my son slept with it the first night, do you not wash between guests? Absolutely terrible service, was ripped off $10 at the arcade because they accidentally made my son a new seapass card he didn't need and the technician in the arcade still did not transfer the funds to the new card despite him saying he would in several conversations, twice in line to receive the second robe I purchased with rewards points, as well as after leaving the feces covered comforter on the ground, not getting a new one until going to guest services again. I paid $5000 for this trip. Why would I suggest Royal Caribbean or use you ever again? Aside from the dinner waiter and all the bartenders, the most helpful person on board was the adult comedian named Carry. While I was struggling as I'm a 100% disabled veteran with a cane standing around for the family comedy show to open, Carry actually talked to us and let us know it was on ship time an hour away, nobody else informed us of this while we stood there in front of the closed doors for a good half hour with staff passing by. Just like on Labadee when I lost mine and my wife's seapass cards and had to go all the way back to guests services on the ship, hobbling and clearly struggling with my cane, I was constantly being passed by half empty golf carts transporting other, older people and ignoring me because I might be crippled but I'm young is what it felt like... I've taken my family on several Royal Caribbean cruises, more and more recently. This was the second one this year. All our cruises to this point were great. The general service and cleanliness on this cruise was atrocious in comparison however. I will never use or suggest Royal Caribbean to another person as long as I live unless a serious effort is made to correct all of this. Also the main arcade on the top floor smells like mold at the entrance and is disgusting as well as a health hazard.

RCexuser my comment wasn't directed towards you! If you look at plasma post and his profile you'll see he shows only 1 cruise and this was the Oasis.....

People should read the review more than once. Been on many RC ships. All great. Except for this last one where I did spend plenty of time at guests relations letting them know what was wrong as well as time spent on the phone after the cruise and filling out their surveys. Still have heard nothing back to this day over a month later. I have been extremely loyal to Royal Caribbean, why shouldn't I cut them off completely? LOL And forgive me if I don't update my profile on here to reflect how many cruises I've taken, but I don't care. Just wanted to make people aware that Royal Caribbean doesn't care about loyal customers, I mean it's pretty evident with the feces thing alone, no excuse, completely unacceptable. Nothing has been done. Not even a simple generic apology letter. So yeah, I'm done with them as I would be with any other business who clearly doesn't care.

JusMe you mean his 2nd cruise? His profile shows the Oasis has been his only cruise to date so far.....

Thank you for your service. Sorry you had a bad cruise. I also prefer the older smaller ships. I hope your next cruise is up to standard.

If you like fine dining stay off this ship, if you don't like nasty children stay off this ship. If you don't like to wait in line for everything stay off this ship. etc. In short this ship is terrible.

Sir Thank you for your service. Wow, I guess this wasn't your cruise. If you feel like there are any problems just bring it up IN WRITING to the hotel manager on board. I have done it and moved on with my vacation. Don't make the mistake of focusing in on the negative, if you do, you are done for. Put it in writing and they will be happy to address the situation for you on this cruise, not the next one. Again sorry you had a bad time, it does happen across the board on cruise lines, but please remember to make the complaint then and there. Happy cruising. PS: Remember the tips are based upon the performance of the staff, so you can ask that the tips be reversed. I have done this in times past OR reverse tips and just paid out in cash to those who really wowed me.

I will be sailing on Oasis December 2018! I’m very excited and this would be my 3 rd RC Cruise. The Dried Feces! Ugh this is why I check the bed sheets and spray them down everywhere I stay overnight. They should have been able to replace the comforter for you with no problem. Do not just cancel out RC altogether because of your experience on Oasis, try smaller classes of ships in the fleet! You might enjoy Vision class or Radiance class better!

Remember the crew is human and not robotic so just like us they have bad days and feel not up to par. I'm sure we will run into problems but being fluid and forgiving is the best policy! Watching many vlogs and reading reviews experienced cruisers do end up with a lesser than expected especially if they cross cruise lines frequently it's just the way it is.

VTXrider I agree with you and jimnkathy. I can't figure out what or why the OP had so many problem. The crew we interacted with would always go out of their way to help us every chance they got. This was true of both RC cruises we took. It will be RCCL for us from now on..... Sorry you had some concerns/issues on this cruise. We have cruised on Oasis and Harmony in the past year and our experience was excellent. We are booked for Symphony for Dec 2018. The overall design and number of elevators helped support the large number of passengers. While most of the children were well behaved, a lot seemed to be unsupervised by a parent. We are trying a smaller ship in March - Anthem so we will see how that compares

VTXrider    6 years ago

Our experience was the complete opposite, sorry for yours but we had a wonderful cruise and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the ship and very helpful staff. We loved it so much we booked our next with RC Symphany. I hardly ever see negative comments like this about Royal Caribbean and frankly shocked!

My wife and I have cruised on Royal Caribbean many times. Most recently last spring on the Oasis and have never had any of the problems you describe. The only negative thing I would say about the Oasis vs a smaller ship is that you get a lot of attention from the concierge on a daily basis if you have one of the larger suites on a smaller ship. On the Oasis we never heard from the concierge through the entire cruise. Other than that it was great as usual.
