Review summary

We had a wonderful time on our cruise, with beautiful weather and my daughter and me got to spend a lot of quality time together. My husband enjoyed the peace and quite while we went to all the activities. We always enjoyed our dinner together. We were very well taken care of.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Arrived at the port around 11:15, we were on the ship by 11:30. We are diamond members so we had a special line to go through. It was very quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We only ate at the main dining room for dinner and the food was very good. I love the creme brulee for dessert. The iced coffee at cafe promenade was always very good. My daughter loved sorrento's pizza for a snack late at night.

Café Promenade

5 out of 5

I always enjoyed stopping at the cafe promenade for iced coffee. After a couple of days the girl would just ask if I wanted the usual. It is amazing how she can remember what people order when they have thousands of people coming there every day.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
My daughter and I loved going to the trivia challenges. We weren't very good at it but, it sure was fun. We also liked the belly flop contest and the worlds sexiest man alive contest. Torchy was a lady judge for the sexiest man contest and she made the show.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The aqua theater show was very good. It is amazing that the divers can jump from so high into that little pool.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The dining room staff was always so nice. Always ready and willing to get whatever you needed, even if it was a special order. Our stateroom attendant worked very hard to keep all of her staterooms clean and cozy.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship's layout is very easy to navigate. I have been on this class ship a few times so, I guess that makes it easier for me. The common areas were always very clean. You can see the wear and tear on the ship. I believe it is time for a refurbishment.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The room was mostly clean when we arrived. The toilet did have a ring around it, but it was always there even after it was cleaned. The door to the balcony was letting air in when out to sea. It made a high pitch whining sound. We called maintenance and they came right away and fixed it. It was quiet for the rest of the cruise. We did have a problem with the air conditioning not working well. Maintenance did come and said they back flushed the line and it should work better but, it never really got cool in our room.

Ship tip

If you can take the stairs, you should. The elevators are over used and you will be waiting for them. Make sure you make reservations for the shows before you even get on the ship. If you don't have reservations, you will be waiting in line to try to get in.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

We arrived a day early and stayed in Cocoa Beach and enjoyed the beach.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
We walked to Junkanoo Beach and had a wonderful time. There was a local woman who came and talked to us for a very long time. She was really sweet and talked to a lot of the visitors and made us all feel welcome. The town is not very appealing while walking to the beach but once we arrived it was so gorgeous. The beach is free also. We took a taxi back to the port and it was only $8.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
If you go to the right beach it is very sandy and beautiful. The first beach you come to is very rocky and you really could get hurt there. I feel the prices that royal charges for excursions etc. is way to high.

Falmouth, Jamaica

3 out of 5
We went to Red strip beach. It was nice once we got there but the road to get there is not good. It is very bumpy and dirty. You think it is going to be a horrible place but once you get to the beach it is okay. Very friendly workers at the beach. They charge $5 per chair.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It is nice to not have to fill out the custom forms anymore. We got through pretty fast.
