Review summary

Kind of spoiled ourselves by going on the oasis as our first cruise. It was almost brand new and you cannot compare it to the older ships in the fleet. Only wish the ports of call would change up a little. Over all it is a ship for family’s and kids.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Lines were pretty long. But expected with so many people

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
My time dinning was great. Breakfast in the windjammer was also good

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was a ton of stuff to do on the ship. Was pretty overwhelming. Impossible to do everything on the cruise compass

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All the shows and entertainment was great. Make sure to book online before your cruise. Comedy show and other will be booked if you wait to board.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room attendant was great. As was the dinning staff

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was about a year old so it was in great shape.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice size room. Shower is enclosed with doors. A nice change from the shower curtains that always stick to you

Ship tip

Keep a cruise compass with you. There is always so much stufff going on you will miss some thing.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

Came directly from the airport

Nassau, Bahamas

Just walked around the shops close to the port.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Went to Magans bay. Was a very nice cove and chairs to rent. Went shopping afterwards downtown

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

2 out of 5
Went to the Dutch side to the beach by the airport. Long taxi ride and the beach was very small and crowded. Water had a horrible current and was pretty steep to get to the water. Not recommended for elderly or small kids. Ended up going back to the beach next to port and had a good time there

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Took a while. Lots of people leaving at the same time.
