Review summary

Cruise itinerary was changed from Eastern to Western Caribbean due to hurricanes without any compensation, would never have booked the cruise with these ports of call. There were more guests out on the ship at 6am for coffee than at 10pm for the nightlife. Some of the staff was great but more were generally neutral on their attitude. Plan on spending money for lunch and dinner if you want options for food.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy and quick to get through the port and onto the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Buffet was just OK, dining room had problems accommodating our reserved events, food in the dining room rarely was cooked the way it was asked to be, sometimes struggled to get a drink ordered while at the pools or hut tubs

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Ship had a lot to offer

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Comedy show was good but there were no seat available for the aqua show even though we made a reservation

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Hector and Alyese (sp?) in the dining room were great, Yolanda our room steward was fun and friendly and the rooms were always in great shape, Genner, Jemilito (sp?) and Made were the only waiters and bartenders that we could rely on.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5

Ship tip

Try to find out if there are large groups on the ship and the demographics of other quests, our cruise was mainly World Poker Tour guests, seniors, and families.

We just had our Disney cruise rerouted due to the devastation of the islands on the east side. They went west as well. Even though we had done west recently on the Oasis, we still had an amazing trip. (rain in ever port didn't dampen our enjoyment either) Disney did offer us the opportunity to change our cruise date to a later time. We chose to go anyways. My ONLY sadness comes from those poor folks that have lost their homes and their income during these hurricanes. If you are able, please think of a donation to those in need.

I can understand the disappointment with the change in itinerary but that's the chance we all take. Did you try the Wipeout cafe, Johnny rockets or solarium? They were very good

This is precisely what I was saying in another post! I am so tired of people that book a cruise during hurricane season and then think they need compensation when things change!! It just baffles the hell out of me! People, it says in your contract that itineraries can change! The captain does what's best for the ship and passengers! He is not out to ruin your vacation!

It's a hurricane....seriously? You'd rather they head into it?

Well obviously they didn't have a good time with all the complaining they're doing....anywho have a blessed day @Idarr

Kmulder in case you haven't figured it out yet, you are not allowed to express disappointment on here without getting chastised for having an opinion! Lol! Hope you all had a great cruise and enjoyed the ship regardless of the ports.

Last cruise was the first time we did specialty dining. I have no problems, issues, or concerns with with the buffet or the MDR.

Lovescruisin    7 years ago

If you read you're contract when booking it states that ports of call can be changed or cancelled without being comped!!! We don't do the specialty restaurants and are very much ok with the MDR choices!!! Sorry you let a couple of things get in the way of you having a great time
