Review summary
This was my first time traveling on oasis of the sea's. I have to admit I wasn't too impressed and I'm sure I will not be doing this one again. We have always wanted to sail on the oasis of the sea's. So me along with 10 other couples book this cruise. (Ages 29-38) Our friends and I usually do a cruise every year. This is my 13th Cruise I have been on. The oasis of the seas is absolutely amazing! This ship is like nothing I've ever seen. However it's way too big and way too many people. You literally have to plan your whole entire week with shows, comedians, reservations for dinner at restaurants etc in advance. if you don't you will not be allowed to attend. I love other cruise lines and just being able to get out of dinner and say OK, what should we do tonight? There is a show at this time, a comedian at this time and just being able to go do whatever you want for that night. Not here! The food on the oasis is absolutely horrible. We skipped the main dining the last three nights and went to the Windjammer. Again, due to the vast majority of people they have to make the food in large quantities. Everything is pre-made in large pans. No omelette station, No Asian cooking stations. Absolutely no fresh cooking. The ice cream machines have set hours and closes at 5 PM every night. Seriously!? That's one of the main reasons I go on a cruise! In closing staff were great, ship was amazing but we will definitely stick with Carnival or smaller ships to have more of the personal experience.

Ship tip
The ship is way too big. 5000 people aboard. Book your shows a month and advance. Don't expect great food.

Thank you for a balanced review that stated the good and bad of the cruise. I will agree with you that the medium size ships are more to my taste. I have tried a mega ship and was not thrilled with it. New cruisers do not know what cruising used to be and can not understand why some of us do not like the mega ships with reservations needed for meal or shows. If Im on vacation I do not need to plan months in advance what night I will feel like the Steak House and what night the Sushi. For me I look at the MDR menu each day and decide to eat in MDR or go to other dining that night.
