Review summary

I expected high quality service and food. We got neither. For the price we paid we were extremely disappointed. Although the ship was beautiful, the service was poor. Our room steward didn't make an effort to get to know us which was disappointing. The food on board was bland and old and I wouldn't feed it to my dog. We spent money in the specialty restaurants and got fantastic food in two of the three. Pretty sad when you have to spend extra money to get a decent meal. I will never cruise with Royal Caribbean again--does not hold a candle to Norwegian who had top notch service and excellent food.

Don't book Atlantis excursion through the cruise ship--we only paid a $4 cab ride and only $129.00/ea for all day pass right at Atlantis ticket counter ..if you don't go to Atlantis, stay on the ship--Nassau is dirty and there is nothing else to do. Our friends did a rum tour and said it wasn't worth the money.

jollyed--how can you compare the Oasis to Cunard and Celebrity when your profile only lists the Oasis as cruised?

I agree Very second rate No comparison to Cunard or celebrity Lots of people out there easily pleased Not me I'll be doing my review when home Look out for it going to take some writing

I have never eaten dog food so I would not be able to compare the ships food to dog food. Unless you have personally eaten dog food how do you know it is not good enough to feed to your dog?

An opinion given is SO based on one's expectations and attitude in general, on any of the cruise lines. *Food so bad I wouldn't feed it to my dog?* *Cabin steward didn't make effort to know us?* One, the other 5,000+ passengers probably ate very heartily so your expectations (or taste buds) must be very high. Also, did you try to get to know the cabin steward? Your total negativity of the cruise may have put off the cabin steward wanting to *get to know YOU*. I've been on 10 cruises (5 with RCL) and I have never had such a negative experience on any of them.

I respect your opinion. We did Oasis recently and had an awesome cruise although the food didn't "wow" us. In general food quality has declined on all our ships over the last few years. Presentation is great as it service but taste is more bland. Still 999% better than dog food :-). I'd go on an Oasis cruise again in a heartbeat!

I am surprised that nothing about the ship or cruise line was acceptable to this poster. I also notice that this poster has basically nothing good to say about the stops made on this cruise. I wonder if this poster is just an unhappy individual in general and that nothing really makes them happy or have a good time. In my experience every cruise or vacation for that matter has things that could be better but the key is to make the best of it and not let it make you miserable and ruin a vacation for yourself and those travelling with you.

Have sailed carnival, Royal, NCL, and Celebrity. NCL was by far our least favorite but u know what they say about opinions.....

Anytime you experience this if you tell your maitre'd he will do WHATEVER is needed meaning Champagne and strawberries in your stateroom by the time you finish the not so good dinner... one on one attention everytime you go back into the dining room.. As far as your room steward goes one complaint to the desk and you can actually do this over the phone.. they will asign you the top Steward on ship. Now should you HAVE to do all that? Absolutely not but my point is they will bend over backwards to make the rest of your cruise memorable and enjoyable. If not reimbursing you some of the cost at the end. Hope this helps ð

Is there anything you liked more than 1 Star? 3 reviews and all negative says more about the person than the cruise line or destinations. You can't be trusted to give honest feedback on anything other than NCL.

I sailed 2 RCCL ships before trying NCL--the Indy and the Oasis--and felt both were fabulous ships. Then I sailed NCL Getaway last January, and fell in love with the Freestyle cruising, and all the fabulous choices for food---some available 24 hours! RCCL does not even come close to the quality and availability of great food on NCL! But will that stop me from cruising Royal? I would have no hesitation sailing with Royal again, if the price is right. But I am also finding better pricing lately on NCL, with several Perks being offered, also. I am not a cruise snob. I am booked on a NCL ship for 2018, and am looking at a Carnival ship for 2019. I am happy on any cruise! ð

You did May 7th with me... I have nothing but excellent things to say about RCCL. We LOVED it ! Our food and service was amazing, our room attendant was personable and attentive...Ship was beautiful and very clean. Sorry you felt so negative.

I respect your opinion, however our cruises with RC have been wonderful including excursions. The Allure and the Oasis have been particularly good.
