Review summary
Amazing top notch entertInment beyond what yoU would expect on a cruise...
Cats was as good as Broadway production, Diving and synchronized swimming was breathtaking, Frozen in time ice show over the top, as was all the special effects and acrobatics staged in the up up and away show. Although meals may not be refined with drizzles and gourmet touches, the food is always fresh, and plentiful. For active kids and Tweens, there is never a dull moment from skating and swimming to rock climbing, surfing, mini golfing, and zip lining. The ship is enormous and is brimming with things to do and corners to explore. Don't expect to see violin quartets though..the atmosphere is more vibrating in nature.

Ship tip
While we enjoyed our 530 sitting, Open dining does give you more options when planning excursions if you prefer a sit down meal in the dining room over a buffet. It is also fun dressing up for formal sittings and adds a nice ambiance when everyone gets into it.

@mattward Thanks for your note. I did not know they had quartets in the evening in Central Park. Good to know. Central Park Place was my favourite hang out place for the greenery and peaceful atmosphere. We often hung out there for breakfast or lunch at the Park Cafe- a great dining alternative for sweet and savoury meals.

@TRex56 Cats is worth it for the incredible high calibre of the dancing, singing, costumes, sets, performance and special effects. Many of the actors have preformed in CATS productions and are from all over the world. The second time I saw it on the ship (second last day afternoon performance), I got more out of it as I sat up close ( 4 from front on centre aisle (right) and got to take in all the nuances of the cat like behaviours and expressions. The cats also interacted with me so it added another element of engagement. There's a 10-15 intermission midway through where you can get a photo taking with Deutoronomy on stage. The plot is the selection of the cat who will be granted 9 more lives...so it's like an audition of each cat....railway cat, showgirl cat, magician cat, prankster cat and so forth. My son (14) liked it...found second half best...more action, varied scenes and special effects. I personally think it's worth seeing but then again it depends what kind of shows you like. Hope that helps. :)
