Review summary

Entertainment was great. Food in the dining areas was top notch. The Windjammer was not as good. Average

The pools were beautiful and the Oasis has 4. My only complaint, children were in all 4 pools and it would have been easier if parents w/children were directed to certain kid friendly pools. Adults like to have fun and it was inappropriate at times and hard to swim with kids taking over in all pools, no supervision.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Windjammer was disappointing. We have been on many Royal cruises and they were slipping in their selections. To many pay restaurants, and expensive when a lot of the same food is in the main dining.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Disappointing that the cruise director did not have any pool functions that people like to join in. The band was out there one day only. The typical island music was non exsistant. Nothing lively. People complained

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Excellent except for Cats. People were walking out during the admission. Other entertainment was very good

Children's Programs

Great programs for kids if the parents would just do it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Haden in the 5:30 Silk dining area. Was fantastic.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was beautiful. A lot of design and work went into this ship. Our outside cabin, was so-so. Nail polish marks in the bathroom bowl.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Nail polish bottle had been dropped in the the bathroom bowl and left a stain. We had to ask for bathrobes as they don't put them in the balcony rims anymore. No hair conditioner, shower gel or shower cap unless you asked.

Stick with boat excursions, people were a bit pushy.

Cozumel, Mexico

Enjoyed a tour around island in a horse & buggy. The islander was most gracious and was well worth what we paid.

I would definitely say something to the crew if there are kids in the solarium. I have 3 kids who would not ever have been allowed in. That's a much needed spot for adults. Some parents think everyone should adore their kids because they do. Not everyone thinks little Johnny is cute

This is sad. Adults go to the solarium to be away from kids and relax from the noise. I'm a mother but I have always respect the rules of adult only and just dreamed of the day when I could have that option. Thank God I survived parenthood and can reap the reward now, lol.

I agree on kids in pools and hot tubs but also understand it's hard for a cruise line to police children. I saw people bringing kids and strollers into the solarium on Oasis. Some people (and their kids) just don't respect the rules.
