Review summary

Our stateroom ( balcony overlooking Central Park) was great, the ship itself was wonderful, the entertainment was fantastic, and St. Maarten was the best. Overall the food was just all right.

The food was just ok, even Giovanni's. The Park Cafe had the best breakfasts and lunches.

We enjoyed a few of the trivia contests, but wished there were more of theses type of games. We don't understand the fascination with the buying / selling of watches, jewelry, purses, pashminas , and future cruises. ,

Comfy and quiet. Our room attendant Rockson was very attentive and helpful.

Ship tip

Book shows in advance, find out when the formal nights will be held so you don't make reservations at specialty restaurants for the same time, breakfast And lunch at the Park Cafe are better than average, attend the hour question and answer session with the captain.

If you are Catholic and would like to attend Mass on Sunday morning, walk to the cathedral. Mass there is a cultural experience and definitely worth attending.

You can easily share a taxi to Magen's Bay for a few hours. It's a lovely beach with decent food and drink available.

This island was the best part of the trip. See both the Dutch and French sides. The beaches are beautiful, and don't miss the airplane adventure at Maho Beach.

Hoping the room is nice and romantic. We plan to sit out on the balcony at night, drink wine, and watch the stars. First time for Central Park balcony room.
