Review summary

Overall, a good experience. There were some rough spots though. On boarding day, we boarded at the time they recommended -- and could not find any food available! The Windjammer was closed, as were all the other food venues. We went from floor to floor (6 of us) and could not find any venues open, nor was it easy to find out what was open. Others we encountered had similar experiences. 2 in our party are diabetic, so we resorted to the slightly smashed protein bars we had in our purses for emergencies. We were told that the Windjammer would be open when we boarded.

The Aqua Show was amazing. Loved it.

Cats: Meh. Too long, seemed pointless.

Comedians: Good! We went to both the "adult" show and the "family show." Both good.

We loved the "Morning Show" on the TV, with Drew Devine, the Cruise Director. He was very funny, and we made a point to watch it every day. Ha!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was great.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Needed more dancing venues.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Aqua Show was AMAZING. Cats...not so much. Much ado about costumes, seemed kind of pointless, and we couldn't understand what they were saying anyway.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
No opinion.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Simon in the Silk dining room was great. Avelino, our room steward, was great. The Cruise Director, Drew Devine, was very funny! We made it a point to watch the Morning Show on TV every day, and did submit some comments & jokes, which they read.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Cleanliness could be spotty at times, compared to other cruise lines we have been on.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin adequate. Could have used a few more amenities, like hair conditioner, shower cap, lotion. Also, no bathrobes! Maybe we had to ask. Very clean though. Loved the towel animals.

Ship tip

One of our fave spots on ship: Central Park. Need more seating areas though. It's a quiet place to hang out and get away from crowds. Library was also a good place to visit-nice variety of books-but again, needed more seating for those looking for quiet.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

3 out of 5
No opinion.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Not much to walk to, except to shop. The Queen's Staircase and the Fort were both underwhelming.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
Just a place to shop.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

3 out of 5
Just a place to shop.

I really enjoyed this ship.  I ate pizza in the promenade area on Embarkation day and never tried to eat in the buffet.  Good thing since when we went on the Allure we were turned away at the buffet. We hate to eat at a small plaqce on a lower deck.

We would not make a special point to book this ship again.
