Review summary
I chose this ship, because it is one of the best in class for service and friendless. (there are only two in class: The Sky & The Sun). The better dance choice is The NCL Sun, if you like live music and great dance floors, it is better on the Sun than on the Sky. The Latin band, 440 duo, is an excellent band, I cruised three times over the last two months just to go back and party with them, their contract is up in January so hurry. The new High Five band is incredible as well. The staff on the Sun know how to pick entertainment for this ship. The food service in the MDRs, service taste and temperature was perfect. I will give the buffet 8 to 9 out of a 10 for their meals and service. Now for the not so good, my cabin upon arrival was reeking of vomit, I don't know how they could have released this cabin into service for the next guest in this condition. All I can say is that the poor cabin steward is over worked and was afraid to not clear this cabin; it should have been condemned until a proper clean out could have been performed by the right members of the crew. I complained but there was a little bit of nonchalant about the way the handled the situation. Believe me, they did try to rectify, but they fell short. Of course I got sick, vomiting like Linda Blair in the Exorcist. I had to visit the hospital; $1800 and two hours later, I was sent on my way. Do you think I got an apology, maybe roses? I got nothing. The crew members I knew went all out to to help, with cut green apples from the Manager at Cagney's Steakhouse, to the Bar Manager in the Atrium sending me ginger ale. Those are the little people who make you feel special, not the big bosses who ignored my hospital visit and their lack of a clean cabin. With all that I still have not lost hope in NCL. They, the bosses, did as little as possible to rectify, but in the end, it was the little people of NCL that came to the rescue. That is what keeps me coming back. But YOUR experience will differ so don't get on the ship looking for negative, have fun and put in writing to the GM on board your troubles and then get back to the fun, letting the proper people handle your complaint. Happy cruising to all!Embarkation
