This is a good cheap cruise.... Remember its cheap.... if you are an avid cruiser then his ship is not for you. The food is sub par and that of a dennys style.... The dining upgrade is not worth the money and the steak house and French restaurant was a HUGE let down. The ship is upgraded but still lacks the amenities of its competitors...I would shop around and check other cruise lines to make sure you get all the amenities you are looking for first...
Embarkation
4 out of 5
I got on very quickly with no hassles
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The food was not good compared to its competitors. This is my 15th cruise and I have to say that the buffet was one of the worst I have experienced on any ship. The buffet area is also very small and always cramped. The main dining room was good... I would compare it to casual dining type food. The steak house was definitely not worth the upgrade. The meat was rubbery and gray looking. They cooked my steak 3times and it was still wrong. I finally gave up and left. NOT WORTH THE UPGRADE.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
This ship lacks extra amenities that other ships offer. There is no rock wall, no movie screen...its pretty basic with 2 pools and 4 hot tubs. There is a basket ball court if that is your thing. No slides...nothing extra compared to competitors
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The entertainment was ok. Nothing special...the comedian was not very funny and the shows were basic...nothing to remember. More like a low budget vegas show
Children's Programs
4 out of 5
Great programs for kids and an arcade. They have a daily pay amount so you can play all you want in the arcade
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
basic service nothing out of the ordinary... no one went above or beyond to make my stay special
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
the ship was upgraded and very clean this was a plus to my trip. if the food was better then this would have been a nice trip and I would have considered Norwegian again...but the culinary experience totally ruined it for me
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
My room was upgraded and remodeled...the pillows were very soft and bed was nice for a cruise ship... usually they are really hard and uncomfortable. it has a fridge and new tv. the hair dryer is this big unit connected to the wall that looks like a mini vacuum...it is horrible... bring your own
Ship tip
The dining package upgrade in the steak house and in the french restaurant is subpar... dont do it
this isn't really a port...its their private island...its mostly lounging chairs, a bar, a cafeteria buffet and that's it. There are several OVERPRICED excursions that you can do while you are there but that's it. No shopping... we did relax there and it is a pretty view but I left after 2 hours
lots of shopping, lots to do... I planned the tour of the city excursion and it was a great value and lots of fun... lots of stops...worth the money. Make sure you try the Conch Fritters
