Norwegian Sun South America 14 day Buenos Aires to Santiago

Sail Date: January 02, 2016

Room Type: Suite

This was a great cruise with excellent stops and shore excursions.  Most of the stops do need an excursion booked as the port cities don't offer a lot close to the ship, but all of the excursions we took were very well planned with great guides and excellent local hospitality.  They all included great meals, not standard box lunches.  The staff on board was very attentive and made sure we had a great time.

Cabin / Stateroom
This is a nice suite however, be warned that the "hot tub" on the balcony is actually a bath tub. Also - bring your own hair dryer, the one provided is very small.
Destinations and Excursions
All the excursions were excellent, well planned and with great tour guides. The winery excursion in Montevideo was great, and Bluff Cove Lagoon in Falklands
Every excursion offered an excellent tour guide as well as a full meal and wine (no box lunches).
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Montevideo, Uruguay
Take the excursion that visits the winery!
Puerto Madryn, Argentina
Book your excursion early - this was filled before we were able to book.
Port Stanley, Falkland Islands
Bluff Cove Lagoon - see the beautiful scenery, penguins, and enjoy tea at the Sea Cabbage Cafe
Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina
Punta Arenas, Chile
We were originally booked on the excursion to Antarctica that was cancelled, so we went to Torres Del Paine - it really is very beautiful!
Valparaiso (Santiago), Chile
We used a private company in Santiago, and went to the Casablanca wine region and toured several wineries - favorites were Vinamar and Bodegas Re.

Attend the wine tastings offered, they were a great time!
