Better then expected

The pool area was very crowded and our daughter used her mask and reported that the pool was full of trash. The food was good, but the service in the Aqua dining room as well as in the Sushi Bar was terrible.

Overall the ship was comfortable. Dining in the main dining hall \"the Market\" was very loud and didnt make for a comfortable dining experience, however the food was great in every included restaurant we went to. The one specialty dining area we ate at was amazing. The entertainment was really good and we were impressed.

The two morning greaters , excellent great way to start the day, the shows were also great, room service needs improvement we waited 2 hours to receive food, overall great experience

Great process for embarking and disembarking. Fast and easy. Love leaving out of NY. Everyday we were asked if there was anything we needed, or if anything needed improvement. Extremely attentive staff! Cleanliness was impressive. Inside cabin size was biggest I've ever been in, quite roomy, as well as the bathroom/shower. Food was good, not great, but definitely nothing to complain about. The entertainment was really good. This was my sixth cruise, and it was definitely one I would do again!

I have been on 32 cruises. The food on the Star left alot to be desired. Ship was very crowded. Children were allowed into everything. Some shows etc should be adult only so it can be enjoyed without kids running around, talking and jumping over seats. Overall service was average, some staff very slow.

The cruise was an excellent expereince

Overall we had a great extended family vacation. Main pool area was over crowded. NEVER was able to get a chair to sit and relax. Smoking in the casino was gross. Service was excellent. Stewards were great and very helpful. Waiters and waitresses were excellent. Needed more activities and entertainment on the rainy day!

My overall impression was they left us alone and it was very low key however they had no real formal nite and we never met captain!

I have to say the entire experience was great. I do not have one bad thing to say about it. From the stateroom steward to the wait staff, everyone was wonderful and would acknowledge you at all times. They would go out of there way to get us something we asked for. Great experience and I already put my deposit down for the next cruise.

Excellent musicians on board (Star Orchestra and Manila Trio), nice pool with 2 water slides, hot tubs, night shows.

The ship was nice, but for us with boys, ages 4, 12 and 15, there just wasn't enough for them to do, or us! There is only 1 main swimming pool and it is packed everyday. If you get there late, forget about finding a seat! The food is the same everyday and after 8 days, it gets old! We also had rocky waters and we were all pretty sea sick everyday and I even got sick one day :(

Although the ship had been recently refurbished, I thought the staterooms could have been a little nicer. The dust ruffle had a whole in it and the pillows should have been replaced. The common areas were very nice and overall despite my negative comment about the room, I would travel on the ship again. The staff was wonderful and I was pleased with the food.

The ship appeared very well taken care of for an older ship other than some minor details. The overall experience was wonderful. We have sailed 3 other cruises and this ship seemed very relaxing the staff attentive to needs and very personable. We had a great time and would sail with this line again.

The ship was moderate for my taste but the staff/crew made up for it. They were just amazing! All of them were so friendly and anticipated all our needs!!! The food was great along with the freestyle environment!
