Review summary

The ship appeared very well taken care of for an older ship other than some minor details. The overall experience was wonderful. We have sailed 3 other cruises and this ship seemed very relaxing the staff attentive to needs and very personable. We had a great time and would sail with this line again.

The overall quality of the food was excellent, we loved the restuarant variety and really enjoyed the well trained friendly staff working in and around the food areas.We had no problem with the dining times it seemed food was always available.The food was delicious.

The entertainment activities were very good quality and we enjoyed going to them.

WE found the ship staff to be well trained very courteous, friendly and helpful.Almost everyone we met greeted us with a cheerful greeting and made our travel a memorable time. The serving staff in the restuarants were extremely nice and very professional.

Ship Quality

The ship size was fine and only found a few things I felt needed obvious attention. The carpet in the public areas seemed to be coming up and unglued from the deck. Also the rails on the balcony were being refurbished during the cruise which i didnt mind except they scraped the old varnish from the rails and left it all over our balcony and chairs on the balcony. Otherwise the ship was very clean and well kept. All areas were very accessable.

Cabin / Stateroom

The size of the staterooms was was good as could be expected on a ship, was kept very clean and never once did I have to call an attendant to get anything because everything was taken care of which made the trip very pleasuarable

Pros: The ship was very comfortable,well staffed and very clean

Cons: Children allowed into bars during late hours.

Recommends Norwegian Star? Yes!
