Review summary

This was my first cruise, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The onboard spa had treatments available specifically for sea-sickness, which was incredibly helpful. There were also options for solo travellers to meet, which was very nice. Overall, an amazing trip.

Embarkation

Long lines & wait times - aside from that, it was great

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was amazing - but it would have been nice to see more chocolate desserts available. I'm extremely disappointed with the drink package - I'm not big on alcohol - but the non-alcoholic options were practically non-existent. I had to pay additional costs for bottled water and seperate costs for hot chocolate from the Starbucks. There were no milkshakes or smoothies available anywhere on the ship, nothing but iced tea available in the diningrooms - I had to go to the buffet for juice or lemonade. Extremely disappointed in the drink package - would not purchase that again.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Great options to choose from

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Awesome musicians - but sets were only 45 minutes. Would have been nice if they were a little longer.

Children's Programs

I dont have kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All were amazingly friendly and very helpful

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very nice - on the 'at sea' days it was very hard to find a place to sit - especially at the buffet because most people sitting there were playing games, not eating. Maybe separating that area into sections on those days would help?

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was awesome - better than expected.

Ship tip

If you're not big on alcohol, skip the drink package.

If you love Hot chocolate, the MDR's make a terrific hot cocoa made from milk - specify you want it made with milk. No need to be paying extra at Starbucks and their's is not near as good as the MDR.

Glad you had fun. Agreed and wish those people occupying tables in the buffet for non food reasons during busy times would be polite and go use a non food table.

Thanks for the review. I'd be interested to hear how your visit was to the one Greenland port. Also, why didn't the ship go to the scheduled Greenland ports? Too windy? Fog? Thanks
