Review summary

The ship was very nice. The Asian influence made it somewhat different then other ships we have been on. The main activity deck was not as wide open as some other ships, but I think this was because the speciality restaurants may have taken space that might otherwise have been left open. The ship rarely felt crowded. Freestyle dining is awesome. No set dinner times and a variety of restaurant choices will make it hard to cruise on a ship that doesn't offer the same. The food in the standard restaurants, Windows and The Garden, was excellent. We would have been very happy to incur no additional charge and eat in these restaurants every night. We sampled the speciality restaurtants just for the sake of trying something different. The oriental restaurant, Shogun, was excellent.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

The ship is only in port until about 12:30 pm so we didn't have a ton of time. We spent the morning shopping. There is a nice shopping district within walking distance of the pier. Since this was the only time we shopped, we didn't mind that there was not much time to do anything else.

Port Canaveral, Florida

We rented a car and visited the Kennedy Space Center. It was very interesting. Several rental car companies have shuttles that run right from the port.

Miami, Florida

We visited the Marriott South Beach and spent the day on the beach. It was excellent.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

5 out of 5
The private island is nice, but a little crowded. There is a shortage of lounge chairs, so take an early tender if you want to be able to lay down. The barbeque was good. The water was clear and warm. We snorkeled right off the beach.

Pros: Windows Restaurant. It was elegant and comfortable and was never overly crowded. The food was excellent

Cons: The buffet. Too crowded.
