Food and Dining

I had read a lot of bad reviews about the food on this ship and the poor choices. That is so far from the truth! There are SO many choices--including Raffles buffet with loads of choices. The quality was good to excellent. In addition to the main restaurants, we tried Cagney's and The Bistro as well as the sushi bar. Our teenagers thoroughly enjoyed Raffles and the choices it offered.

Entertainment

Enjoyed the singing duo on board. Also enjoyed the Second City players. The hypnotist was amusing. The staff variety show was good. (One staff member did a great Michael Jackson impression.) Didn't really care for Bingo because no one won the day we played. They should have played until someone won.

Service and Staff

Overall service and friendliness were excellent. Our room stewards were always letting us know if they had seen another member of the family and were very courteous if someone was resting. Overall wait staff was friendly.

Ship Quality

The ship is huge! Takes a day or two to find one's way around! Cleanliness overall.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a balcony room with ample storage. The only problem was that we were at the front of the ship which I would not choose again. That was particularly rocky during turbulent waters! Of course, the whole ship was rocky but up front was even worse! We were pleased with our stateroom itself.

The night time party was fun. Unfortunately, snorkeling was canceled due to windy weather.

We figured the parks would be crowded due to school vacation so we opted for the Everglades airboat tour. The airboat was fun but it was hardly the Everglades and the only alligator we saw was a small one that was in captivity. However, we did get to eat alligator!

We took a short carriage ride and then walked to the straw market. The straw market is nothing special though my teenage daughter got a knock-off Chanel purse. If we had more time, we would have gone to Paradise Island or snorkeling or swimming with dolphins. I'm sorry we didn't do more there.
