4/5 due to small pools and some Grouchy deck 11 bar tenders. We were on the Sky for Christmas. This was our first cruise. We aren’t picky and didn’t expect the world. I booked with NCL directly and initially booked an instate room. During the payment period, the ocean view room was $10 more and I upgraded. We were in 4012. We liked our room. I loved the window!!! The staff was nice and constantly cleaning (except some grouchy bar tenders at pool deck 11). We looked to eat, drink and relax. The drinks were yummy!!! We did all of the above. I think the food option was a bit limited (2 restaurants and basically a huge buffet that were included). We enjoyed the buffet food! The night life was kind of dead. We went to bed at midnight every day. (We are 30 and like to dance into the night). The ports were fun. We understand the hussle on the people on the island. The pools were small and the jacuzzi were always full of kids. We shall seek an adult only cruise next :) We left daily cash tip for maid, a few bucks at the dine in restaurants and a buck for every two drinks I ordered at the same time. The staff works hard!! Thank you NCL for a nice first time experience.

Just letting everyone know that the internet pack on Norwegian sky is very misleading. They led me to believe that I had unrestrained internet access. I am paying $40 a day and I can't download a picture on Facebook. They are telling me that it must be my phone. I tried on 2 phones and a tablet. The internet cafe manager is useless. She has no answers. He loaded a page on her computer "look how quickly the page loaded. We are on the same network". You can't stream.

It was ok for the weekend. We wanted more quiet space to relax instead of all the music all the time either from a band or just blasting out of speakers. Ship drills for the crew being announced at Freeport kept us from sleeping in.!!! Annoying to say the least.

Exceeded all expectations! Hubby and I are 50+ with a few much longer cruises behind us. Chose this one with grown children and a niece—newly engaged, newly wed, and newly single with a friend—in their early 20s. Unlimited drinks drew the youngsters in, but it seemed to me that most passengers knew their limits and stayed within them. On another cruise that was 12 nights filled with older people, I felt like some saw the 15 drink limit as a challenge to be met daily. Food—fewer choices than on bigger ships, but plenty to please everyone’s tastes. The young people thought the main dining rooms helped make the cruise a great value for their vacation dollars. Ports—Freeport is Freeport. It’s still better than being in the cold December Midwest. Nassau had a better economy when we visited a decade ago. Breezes resort was nice, but surprisingly empty for the week before Christmas. Young people loved the inclusive food and beverage there. Great Stirrup Cay was heavenly for late December. Everyone in our group had a fabulous day. The free drinks probably helped some 😉 By the last day, all our “kids” were talking about making plans for our next adventure as a group, and we all had friends back home wanting to join in next time after seeing our pictures. Wonderful, short cruise!!

This was our first experience with a cruise and we loved it! We had a group of 6 ranging in age from 21-59 and there was plenty for all of us to do and enjoy. We have already booked our next cruise!!

Would recommend this cruise to anyone who wants to see Cuba before it changes as it will over the next few years. The pier is right in the older part of the city so you feel like you are docked right inside the city itself.

Loved the charm of Havana, while restoration is on the plan, the old buildings and fabulous architecture was fascinating. Enjoyed the size of the ship, was not too big and cabin was quiet.

The Sky is a beautiful ship. Recently renovated and beautifully decorated. Friendly staff, great food and fabulous itinerary. It will be worth your while to do this cruise. Lovely weather and great views.

Cuba was amazing, making the cruise absolutely worthwhile. Havana is beautiful, even if crumbling. The people are charming and friendly, and NOT crumbling, despite many hardships. Cuba is 5 stars. The Sky is small, which is good for me since I can’t walk far. The cabins are small, but plenty of storage space. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ship is 4 stars. FOOD: mediocre at best. The buffet is very small. Salad was fresh and nice, but prepared foods were gloppy, meat was tough. Desserts looked yummy and tropical, but tasted very artificial and overly sweet. Dining room food was definitely better but still not great. Examples: bouillabaisse was basically tomato soup with some tough pieces of seafood in it. Pasta Carbonara looked lovely, but when I put my fork in it, the entire portion stuck together and came off the plate in one piece. Food that was good: The Cuba menu on days in Havana was pretty good, especially the lamb shank. Caesar salad was good, and you could get it with nice lemony chicken in it. Breakfast: Bagel with smoked salmon in the dining room was very generous and tasty. If you are a tea drinker, ask for 2 teabags, as they only give you one bag for a teapot full of hot water. Food is 2 stars.

Would recommend this cruise for a short getaway. it was fun and all drinks were included.

Very nice cruise was on our bucket list but not sure I would do it again or recommend it to others due to the expense. Everyone on board was great and liked that the drinks were included

I hope someone who can make changes reads this, and makes things better for the guess. If you allow free drinks, trained staff to care for and help the guess. Train all staff on every part of the ship and programs, make them pass a test about the ship.

We needed a Relaxing Getaway for Thanksgiving week and this Ship & Staff provided just that. Highly recommend the Sky & Bahamas Itinerary. Norwegian Sky is a small ship with an Awesome Staff & Service Crew. We totally enjoyed the Entertainment - Dining & Private Island

Did a short cruise 4 day Thanksgiving cruise on the Sky. The ship is older but still had a great feel to it. The open bar is a definite plus and the drinks were not watered down. The key is to order drinks that all not pre-mixed. The ports were okay. The activities at night were entertaining. My philosophy is "any day cruising is a great day."

My friend and I had a wonderful time on the ship. All of the employees were pleasant and friendly especially our porter Rodrego. He took the time to remember our names and ever time we interacted with him her was very respectful and kind. We work at a business we’re customer service is number 1. We truly appreciate your crew thank you. The food was good every where we went and the drinks were always made well. Thank you

Great experience. Open bar so I thought they would cut somewhere else but they did not. The food was perfect. The drinks were awesome and included premium brands like titos vodka or captain Morgan rum vs a wells brand. Went with 3 adult couples and everyone was blown away by service and quality

Had a great time on the Sky. Ship was small but nice. Service was good. Great Stirrup Cay was cancelled (seems to happen often 😕). It could be a booze-cruise, so not for everyone. Good value though.

Second and last time on this cruise. This years experience was: - Watered down drinks - Fights on the pool deck - Horrible 80's music - Bland food without variety. - Urine odored bathrooms - Hot water was spotty - No Air Conditioning in night club - Cancelled Great Stirrup Cay without notice - Shower backed up and flooded with toilet paper - Customer service was sub-par compared to every other cruise line - No seafood while at Sea (how is that possible)

This was my first cruise ever in 2017 and it truly made me a believer of the cruising experience. Before then I had no desire to vacation via cruising. The fact that the cruise was an overnight to Cuba also helped. Though the ship was small I didn’t feel claustrophobic. We were on a lower deck but did have a ocean view so that helped to not feel so cramped. The Sky is automatically free beverage package so that was a plus and we surely took advantage of that. Since I was a smaller ship with a lot of people the pool hoarders were plenty and didn’t leave much room for others to enjoy the chairs or pool too often but I did get to get in the jacuzzi a couple times and dip my legs in the pool. The food was good. The buffet always had plenty options and staff ready and willing to meet dietary needs which was a plus! The only thing I didn’t care for was the juices which were pretty watered down. I am not a soda drinker so that was a bummer. We never made it to the main dining room for dinner but that was fine with us, the buffet treated us right. My favorite part of the entertainment was the karaoke. There was one day where it was just myself and about 6 other people and we had a ballllllll together! The shows were pretty decent from what I recall although at this point I can’t speak to anything in particular. Cuba was a blast. We went to some famous destinations for daiquiris, took a 2 hour tour in a classic car for a great negotiated price, walked around and did some shopping and also got to watch the makings of a music video from a wonderful rooftop bar! Cuba was truly magical except for the food. I was so surprised that the local restaurant that we went to left much to be desired. The dish that I had was poorly seasoned and the shrimp weren’t cleaned. I didn’t expect a super xl meal but the portion was for a child’s menu in my opinion. Overall i loved my Sky experience and while I would go on it again if going to Cuba again or another island I really wanted to visit was an itinerary of this ship otherwise I am very happy with the NCL Getaway and other larger ships.
