Great ship Ate a different restaurant every night The drinks were watered down But it was still nice to have it included in the price But the pictures were horrible They didn’t gloss them or anything I’m glad I didn’t buy a package The quality of the photos were bad The weather in Cuba was bad Rain all day Went the end of May 2018 But I would definitely go back

The point of this trip was to experience Havana Cuba. Hopefully the conditions will improve with US dollars coming into their economy. Really enjoyed learning about the culture and history. It was a bit shocking to see how poorly kept the streets and sidewalks were. It rained the entire time we were in port. I probably would not return to Cuba for at least 5 years.

The Norwegian Sky was my fourth cruise and my BEST one yet!!!! Hands down I had the time of my life on this trip, despite all the rain!! (we went three weeks ago Memorial Day weekend and it rained the ENTIRE time basically) anyways, my first 3 cruises were with Carnival and they are known for being the "party ships" so prior to going on this cruise I had not one clue what to expect and kinda thought it was going to be boring...BUT boy was I wrong!!! The crowd was diverse, the food was great (to me!) and the nightclub (which I really care about when I go cruising) was awesome!! I love the fact that pizza isn't your only option after leaving the club at 2 in the morning - you literally have a whole buffet to choose from with REAL food (i.e. Burgers, fried chicken wings, fries, etc plus dessert!) the rooms are kind of small on this ship but I didn't too much care frfr. Last but not least, the best part of all that actual sold me on going on this cruise in the first place - the included unlimited drink package!!!! Omg, when I say I was in a piece of heaven 🤗 it was awesome!!!

I recently traveled to Cuba on the Norwegian Sky. This was my first time on Norwegian (I usually cruise Carnival). Firstly, I was disappointed that the cruise was advertised as two days in Cuba. Yes, I understand that I dropped the ball in reading the small details but why even advertise it that way. I spoke with several others on the ship who thought the same as I did. It was deceiving. In the future, list day 1: Cuba, day 2: at sea, etc. The check in process was pretty exceptional. Possibly because this was a smaller ship but getting on board was a breeze. Two thumbs up for that. Upon getting on the ship, we went straight for the food......which was mediocre. I was hoping it was only the first lunch but the trend of bad food continued for the duration of the trip. I’m am not a picky eater by any means and I was not satisfied. When we boarded we made reservations at the steak house for the last night. All week we were looking forward to it because the other food was so poor. Thursday night came and we were served two medium rare ribeyes grilled to perfection....But they were bland. I will say, the shrimp cocktail appetizer with the homemade sauce was delicious but everything else....blah. I lost 4 pounds while on this vacation. That should speak for itself. The entertainment on the ship was lacking. There was only one show at a time and a few of those were even cancelled. Maybe this is typical for Norwegian, but again, I’m accustomed to Carnival ships where there are so many options you can’t even choose just one. The shows that were available were hardly even entertaining. However, there was ONE. The dance competition (like dancing with the stars) was phenomenal. Sonny and Ms Delores made that show the highlight of my trip. Kudos to them! I would also like to suggest having some type of entertainment at the Great Stirrup Cay island. At minimum, place speakers around the beach so the music can be heard by all. What else?.....the casino. Well, I can honestly say that I have NEVER been charged a fee to spend my money in a casino. Norwegian charges a daily service fee for me to give them my money. Outrageous! Just when we were ready to pack our bags and leave Norwegian behind us, we headed to the gift shop to collect some last minute gifts. At be register, we were told our account was closed. This was baffling because the card on file had more than enough credit available. Plus we hadn’t purchased anything but a case of water since boarding. The clerk stated she didn’t know why but sometimes this “just happens”. The guest in line behind us stated that it happened to him on his last cruise. Once at guest services, they were able to quickly rectify the situation but also could not offer an explanation as to how or why the account was even closed. They only knew that it had been closed the day before. This was inconveniencing and could have been a much more embarrassing situation had we not gone to the gift shop before visiting the steakhouse. Overall, the Norwegian Sky was a disappointment. I’ve concluded that perhaps I am too active for this cruise line. Maybe Norwegian is mainly for those who want to go on vacation and do absolutely nothing. I go on cruises to be entertained and enjoy myself. The best feature of the ship was the open bar special and even that isn’t enough to encourage me back onto a Norwegian Cruise ship.

Outstanding cruise! Eventhough Norwegian Sky beeing one of the oldest in NCL fleet, she delivered! Good food, excellent staff, well maintained and great onboard activités! This was my 6th cruise with NCL and one of the best!

We had a Great time on the cruise. I think it would have been nice to spend more time in Cuba. I have seen itineraries that spend two days In Havana.

Wonderful cruise,the service was great and the staff incredible...we have a great time as a family but need more things to do for the kids...otherwise was a fun trip

The Sky is an older ship, but well maintained. The crew and service they provide make it all worthwhile. Our stateroom attendant was amazing! This guy was so cheerful, and helpful. Havana: What would have helped is offering more information on what to do, and where to go in Havana, if you're not doing a tour. Since this was a big draw for us, it would have helped. Of course we did our own recon prior, but having the opportunity to talk with someone before stepping off the ship and walking into Havana would have helped. If you decide to go into the city on your own, when you exit the dock area, and cross the street, don't go to the left past the old church. Not bad, but a bit dodgy. Heading to the right and towards the old fort, is better. Overall, it was an interesting visit.

The waiters and bar tenders were great. Never a wait and they were so friendly. A great short cruise experience for sure.

Small ship. Pretty much like a taxi ship. Not really made for you to stay on. Not much entertainment, but free open bar made up for it. The for was simple. Nothing too extravagant.

Beautiful ship. Had a blast. The bartenders are amazing. Only down side since you pay for the drinks in advance there isn’t many servers walking around offering you drinks. Once you find one give them a good tip so they could keep coming back if not you have to go to the bar and make the line. Everything was good

Was on my bucket list. Such an eye opening experience. Will never forget this trip or our 8th anniversary ...

Our 3rd cruise first time on Norwegian.Our cabin was small but for a short cruise wasgood.As a whole the staff was extremely helpful our steward was great the decorations in our cabin were awesome. Everything on ship was easy to find. The buffet was well good selection but temperature was warm if you were lucky mostly cold.Cuba was great and eye opening an experience i will remember. Stirrup Cay was great food was hot drink were good and beach wonderful. This has been a anniversary I will always remember.

In summary, this cruise was pretty awesome. Going to Havana was the highlight, to be sure. I'm not sure I would look to go with the Norwegian Sky again, unless I was bound and determined to go to Cuba and the Sky was my only option. If you're looking to go to Cuba, and taking a cruise with the Sky is your best bet (which it might actually be since I don't think most other cruise lines STAY overnight in Havana) then I would highly recommend it. The POSITIVES of Havana outweigh the negatives of the actual cruise ship. If you're going to go out in Havana, I would HIGHLY recommend taking a tour from a Cuban company rather than through the ship. They are very friendly and helpful, plus they're more economical than ship excursions. Additionally, for trips out to the Tropicana Club or other areas around Cuba, you may be able to work with you guide for transportation, rather than having to worry about working through the cruise line for this. As a point of reference, the cruise line charges $200/person for a visit to the Tropicana Club. To go on your own, for FRONT ROW seats was $190 (which you could pay in advance online). The cab ride was $25 each way. So for a total of $240, we went and had the same, if not better, experience than the cruise guests, at literally half the price. Just something to consider. At any rate, GET TO CUBA! You'll be glad you did!

I will do NCL again because of the cleanliness. The crusise staff were amazing. The corporate end could be a bit less aggressive on the up-selling and advertising. Gets annoying by the 3rd day of it. You are turning people off at that point. Your making great money as it is...be a little more classy.

I had an good time but enjoyed other cruise a lot better I think they need to upgrade the food it was cold and not very good

This was our first NCL cruise and will likely be our last. We chose this cruise because of the length of time to be spent in Havana. Unfortunately, this was shortened shortly after the ship set sail for pre-planned maintenance. Very disappointing. There were some good points and we enjoyed each other's company, making our own good time on the most part.

I was very pleased with the staff. My stateroom steward and the main dining room staff addressed me by name. Other staff made eye contact, smiled and greeted me warmly. There wasn't much entertainment to my liking. I went to the Motown/American Idol show. Although the singers were talented, the dancers' choreography and costumes were awful. I chose this cruise because there were two full days in Havana. A few days before the cruise, I received an email that the second day in Havana would end at 2:00 pm for ship maintenance. We arrived in Havana on schedule, but because of problems with the Cuban authorities, we could not get off the ship until 12:30. Our private island day became a sea day because of high winds. The food on the buffet was very good in terms of variety, taste and presentation. The food in the MDR was good too.

First about a week before we left they shortened our time i Havana. Furthermore, we did not get to Bahamas, because, it was too windy and the small boats would not transfer us to the beach. I understand safety, bu there should be plan B. like a different port in Bahamas. Even if we would get to the Great Stirrup Cay, our disembark time was like around 2 pm. We would not spend much on the beach anyway. Very disappointed. Before I booked the cruise I got an impression we would cruise at night and spend the days on the land. I cruised with 'Costa' before (to private island Turks & Caicos); however, they were able to offer port deck.
