Really fun weekend cruise or party cruise!! the unlimited alcohol made the cruise super fun, so if thats something you're looking for, book this cruise! Guests ranged in age from teens to older adults, and there were tons of families celebrating occasions. With the amount of drinking that went on, the cruise ship was spotless and very clean.
Embarkation

this was my first time embarking from Miami and it was a little confusing. we weren't provided the terminal information and our uber driver asked us for that info. long story short, we had to ask a construction worker and he sent us to the right location.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Tons of bars to choose from and unlimited strong/well made drinks. We didn't find out until the end that alcohol like patron were included!! That probably worked out for the better. We ate at Cagney's to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The ribeye was delicious, but huge. My boyfriend got the prime rib and said it was one of the best he's ever had. The tuna tartare was delicious. The main dining rooms were pretty. We dined later in the evening, so our party of 4 always sat together. It can take some time for food to come out though, but youre on a cruise so who cares. The dining staff is attentive.

Fun every night. The DJ played music ranging from hip hop to latin and fed off the crowd.

Onboard Activities

Spent most of our onboard time at the pool, dance club and casino. The entertainment was great. We had such a fun time. The casino is smaller and the selection of slots isn't huge, but you'll always find something to play and there's never a wait.
Galleria Shops

Good selection of souvenirs and things you might have forgotten. Keep an eye out for random sales!
Sky Club Casino

Small but mighty. We had fun hanging out and playing here every night. there aren't a lot of slots but you'll find something to play.
Entertainment

Joel Meyer the magician performed on our cruise and his show was great. The DJ played really great music that the crowd liked, ranging from hip hop to latin. And if the crowd wasn't feeling the music, he transitioned to a new song. We had a great time dancing the night away.
Service and Staff

The wait staff in all departments were great and attentive. 5 star service!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
This is definitely a smaller ship in comparison to the Norwegian fleet. It was good for a first-timer because it wasn't overwhelming and it was relatively easy to figure out where u were and how to get to A, B or C. It was recently upgraded, so the cabins were nice. The atrium is in the lowest floor and it is small. The only things here are all the guest services and photographers at night. No entertainment here.
Cabin / Stateroom

Oceanview Cabin 8011 with a large porthole. Perfect for 2 people. Bathroom is definitely small, and only good for 1 person at a time. the shower is a little annoying because it is tiny. there is tons of storage space. the hair dyer only works in the vanity plug - I found that out too late.. walls are metal so all your magnets will work. only 3 American outlets in the room. NO TOWEL ANIMALS!!!!!!!! not a dealbreaker, but those are always so fun to back to.
Ship tip
take your time to visit all the public areas of the ship on your first day! we didn't find spinnakers lounge until our very last day and it was a bummer not to have a drink here.
We booked the Norwegian excursion to Atlantis and played at Aquaventure. This is probably one of the few excursions through the cruise that had the same cost as if you booked it on your own. Its definitely pricey by SO MUCH FUN. however, if there are thunderstorms, they will temporarily close the slides until the storm passes and resume service. Remember to bring your credit cards because a lot of the services like food and locker rentals are card only.
Tendering is a bitch. if book an excursion you get an automatic tendering ticket with your excursion ticket. if not, you have to wake up early to get an assigned tendering time OR wait until tendering is open for all. give yourself 1hr-45 minutes to get through the line to get on the tendering boat, and get onto the island. (ACCIDENTAL HACK: if you take the farthest elevators instead of the stairs, it will open towards the front of the line. if we didn't have an excursion, I would have waited to tender in the very beginning or later.)
BOOK THE JETSKI EXCURSION! We booked the two person jetski tour and had an amazing time. the entire session is about 1.5hrs - 45 minutes of orientation/prep and 45 minutes of actual driving. BRIAN, RICO AND BENSON, led our tour group were THEE BEST. They made you feel safe but also, made the experience so much fun. halfway through the driving tour, you can jump in the water (its shallow and you're also wearing a life vest) and you can switch drivers at this point. during this break time, the drivers do some pretty cool tricks to entertain you. if youre a first time driver or dont want do go fast, they separate you into 2 or 3 groups.. fast, medium and slow. once your on the jetski, youre assigned a number and take off one by one and drive off in a single file line. They assess who should be which number in line, and will reassign numbers. so dont worry about feeling like you have to go fast. you can also let them know you wanna drive medium or slower. I let my boyfriend drive the entire session because it was his birthday present. he also drove with the fast group, and it was much more enjoyable for me to be the passenger and enjoy the scenery and the speed.
our tour was booked for 10:45, however there were thunderstorms close by so out tour was postponed for 1:15 if weather permitted. luckily, weather was on our side! worst case scenario, we would have been refunded.
Our boat, the Norwegian Sky, was the only boat there that day. we got to the beach around 1030/11 and there were still TONS of seats under the shade, if there was a another boat or a mega ship there along with us, It would have been packed. the first two sections are very shaded, and the last beaches closer to the cabanas have less shade, but have clam covers for rent. there will be less people in the farther beaches, but you can't head the music as well, so it just depends on what kind of vibe youre looking for.
