We had a really good time. They seemed to be a little short staffed which affected us some. The biggest problem is that our cabin really should not have been for 3 people.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
No problem happened quickly which was nice because of the scheduling of guests to arrive at different times.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was good. Dining experiences pleasant
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
the only activity that i can rate was the gym. There were several treadmills that did not work correctly. The bad part was there was no one around in the gym to help out. The gym guy was busy trying to sell shoe inserts for arch problems out in the hall when he should have been helping the people in the gym. I think there should have been someone available to help in case someone had a medical emergency or to help with the machinery. I finally gave up.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
shows were ok.
Children's Programs
no children
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The staff was nice when you could find someone. The internet cafe person was not there 3 out of the 4 times I tried to find someone to help with the internet. As a result I got overcharged.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was very clean
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
The cabin was clean. The sheets were shredded and should have been taken out of service but they were clean. The cabin was tiny. Smaller than any cabin i have been on in any ship or cruise line that I have cruised. It would have been ok for two people but we had three. The third had to sleep on a futon and when it was opened up you would have to crawl over the guest to get out of the main bed or beds. Would have been better if it had been a bunk you could fold up. There were very few drawers (refrigerator there instead). We ended up taking out the night stands and a chair so we could at least walk around in the cabin. Had them bring in a cot so we did not have to open the futon. No where to put suitcases so we had to put them on top of the beds. They should not book these rooms for more than two people.
Ship tip
Tell them to try to get a bigger cabin. Tell them the internet is really slow and does not work well and often there is no one there to help. That I spent 15 minutes of my internet time trying to get it to work at 1.00 a minute.
I would recommend you do a tour by car in Havana. The places around the port are ok but once you walk about 4 blocks out of the city it gets pretty bad. Supposedly there were better places to go but you could not walk there.
Beautiful beach and waters. I would recommend that they put out some some sort of fun thing like a water trampoline. Snorkeling was not very good there but we may have been in the wrong place. We did it from the beach.
