Review summary

I picked this itinerary because of the overnight stay in Havana. Overall, I am satisfied that hurricane Irma did not derail the plan and I got my wish.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Royal Caribbean always serve Lobster. I was disappointed that there wasn't a lobster night.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
I played bingo, went to the gym, and to the club. DJ was great.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
the late-night comedian was pretty funny.

Children's Programs

No kids with me.

Service and Staff

It was just okay. I didn't feel anyone going above and beyond. The TV remote doesn't have a long range. I couldn't change the channels from the bed and had to stand directly in front of it to make it work. I told the room attendant about it but she didn't understand. Very annoying to say the least. Then, there was the towel issue. I didn't participate in the 'save resources' initiative but yet couldn't get fresh towels every day without asking.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I paid for a cabin with a king size bed but what I got was a bed with two twin mattresses on it that kept separating. Makes it kind of part for a couple to sleep on. Luckily, it was a short cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

The size was fine. It's the bed situation that turned me off.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

HAVANA, CUBA

Loved Havana but don't understand why we had to leave so early.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas Did not visit port

It was cut short due to hurricane Irma.

We have never been on a cruise before. What do you do overnight in Cuba? Stay out late or have to get on the ship before a certain time?
