Review summary

This is my girlfriend (27F) and I's (29M) second cruise. The first one being a carnival cruise (imagination?).  I've seen incredible value on both cruises so far, but especially on the Norwegian Sky. The ship is a little bit older and lacked a few selling points that other ships may have (water slides, rock climbing walls, etc.) However, you get what you pay for and it's again a great value for $279. They do have a basketball court, ping pong tables, shuffle board, etc. Also, since this is a short cruise AND includes unlimited drinks you'll see many more young people than other cruises. There were a few kids on the ship, but definitely much less that other cruises. There is a teen room with arcade games for kids which is nice if you do have them. The unlimited drinks surpassed my expectations. Not many lines or limitations. There were bars on the private beach which you could walk right up and grab a drink from for free. One of the best parts!

The food - The buffet's offer a pretty good selection of food. The food isn't AMAZING. However, it's nice that you get to try so many different things without worrying about wasting money if you don't like something. Definitely take the time to try some of the sit down restaurants too. There's a couple that are included at no extra cost . They're really nice and the food is a little bit better.

The entertainment - What I love most about cruises is the wide selection of entertainment that's available. There were a few house bands that played many different types of shows (beatles tribute, bob marley hour) and weren't too bad. They also had DJ's and parties on the pool deck. The Deal or No Deal game was pretty fun. The house comedian (Troy Tridgill?) was actually really funny! One of the highlights for me. It's nice to be able to walk to different shows and events and check them all out. There's always something going on and there's something for everyone.
