Fabulous Weekend Cruise

Sail Date: August 27, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Taking a long weekend get-away on Norwegian Sky is one of the most relaxing and fun experiences. The ship is in excellent condition--everything is spotless. You can be as involved with activities as you like or just chill--whatever suits your mood at any given time. We've taken this trip before and we'd do it again and again.

Pros: Boarding and disembarking were the smoothest process we've had when cruising

Cons: People wearing shorts in the dining room in the evening

Recommends Norwegian Sky? Yes!

Ship Quality
Carpeting, chairs in public rooms all in good, clean condition. Decor throughout the ship is attractive. "Ocean" carpet pattern on stateroom hallways reminds you that you're on vacation in the Caribbean.
Food and Dining
Freestyle dining is the best. The variety of foods offered on the menu is expansive. Something for everyone---even the picky, picky eater.
Cabin / Stateroom
We enjoyed our stateroom with the ocean view. It was in tip top condition with nice crisp bed linens and beach towels all rolled up waiting to be used.
Service and Staff
Everyone of the staff--from the cabin attendant to the front desk to the wait staff--go over and above to make your cruising experience exceptional.
Entertainment
Did not go to the main show. Enjoyed leisurely evening dining followed by after dinner hours spent in the various caberets listening to live music
Nassau, Bahamas
Browsing in the open market where there are "walls of imitation name-brand purses" is too cluttered.
Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas
Beautiful clean island. The fun part is getting there on NCL's special landing boat---fun, fun, fun.
