Review summary

Some fantastic ideas and areas on the ship but some massive issues with the layout. No one could get in syd Norman’s, far too small, along with the Buffet and food Hall. First time on NCL we’ve encountered some very rude staff too which was a real shame. Lovely cabins,

Arrive early and you’ll have a smoother experience. Guests arriving after 12 had a 2 hour process to board

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall the included dining was very good with no issues. The menu in the main dining room now changes every night. The speciality dining was fantastic, especially Onda and Los Lobos. What was lacking was vegan options on the main menu, you had to ask for a special menu or pre order every day, NCL need to catch up. Indulge was a highlight, outstanding salad bar and Indian food

Indulge Food Hall

5 out of 5

My favourite included food venue. Outstanding. Shane the place isn’t bigger as it becomes hectic in the day

Los Lobos

5 out of 5

The guacamole master made the experience a stand out. Very nice food and the margaritas were fab

Onda By Scarpetta

5 out of 5

The best overall meal we have had at sea. Outstanding food from the bread to the desserts. Can’t wait to try again

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Day time activities were really lacking. There was far too many “activities “ That had a fee or where they were trying to sell you something in one way or another

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The main evening entertainment was fantastic, Donna Summer was a stand out, such talent in stage. Don’t get rid of these shows Norwegian! The price is right it’s very well done too.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Some very nice service and some awful service much to our surprise as we have not had this on NCL before. The bar staff were often under pressure with just one person at many bars. Service lacked in most areas and the personal touch felt like it had gone on this cruise.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The layout of this ship has many flaws. There’s no outdoor forward view due to a crew bar. There’s no aft view from the top due to them having the haven and half of the middle section is taken up with vibe. Such little space left for the main amount of passengers and it showed. The main pool is awful and just a walk through as is the buffet, far to small with no seating and half the people in there are just trying to move from one end of the ship to the other as that’s the only route at the top of the ship. The speedway takes up a crazy amount of space too. The smoking deck was in a really awkward place. Many areas felt like dead ends

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Standard Balcony cabin was the best we’ve had, spacious, light and great storage

Ship tip

For indulge get there before opening. Check dining times as they change. Use food republic for seating when using the buffet
