Review summary

We had such a great time. We wish we went with some of our friends from home, but we made some awesome new friends on the ship. The staff is excellent and the ship is beautiful and clean. We loved the restaurant options and had a blast at karaoke every night.

Embarkation

While not a glamorous part of the journey, it was well organized and easy to get through. Everyone was so excited to get onboard that this part of the process flew by.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We really enjoyed our experience, but wish there were more vegan options available. The salad bar was pretty reliable, but it would be nice to see more vegan protein options and fewer mayonnaise-based mixed salads. However, I realize this is likely not a worry for most people! There was something for everyone, for the most part, and the staff members were always happy to suggest their favorite menu items when we couldn’t decide. I would like to see a non-dairy milk option made available by the coffee stations every meal so we didn’t have to ask for it every time. The produce was super fresh and the menus in the restaurants were great. We went to Lotus Garden three times and loved it. The best bartender was Burton from South Africa. We always went to him at Magnum’s! Also… the Irish Pub needs Irish beer! No Guinness or Smithwicks?!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We loved the pool, all of the “game shows”, dance nights and, most of all, karaoke at the Spinnaker Lounge! Such a blast. We went to karaoke with a bunch of the same people every night. They need to update the songbook for our next cruise!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
DJ Remmy was awesome. We also loved Funky Roots… bandaoke was fun.

Children's Programs

We left our baby at home with her grandparents!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff members serving, bartending, bussing tables and cleaning the rooms for NCL are top notch. It’s crazy to think they leave their families for such long stretches of time, but they seems to love their “work family”. Getting to know them all was one of the best parts of our trip.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean. We were impressed with the cleanliness and maintenance of the ship, day in and day out.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
I wouldn’t call this an “ocean view” cabin, more like a “lifeboat view”, but it was nice to have some daylight in there once in a while. We barely spent any time in our room, so we wouldn’t mind having an obstructed window view again. Our room was superbly cleaned every single day. 100% pro.

Ship tip

We wish we had more days docked in Bermuda, but the experience was relaxing and fantastic. We will definitely cruise with NCL again.
