Review summary

From Booking, I was allowed to select a room category that gave me one Free at Sea. I selected Beverage Package on the website, but when it came down to checking my payments, said the room category was NOT eligible for Free at Sea--but it was NCL's issue that I was able to select the option initially. Of course, NCL said it was 's error. Ended up paying $300 more plus increased travel insurance. Just done with PL.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Waited too long going through security and too long in holding area.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Enjoyable

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

4 out of 5

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
So much better than Epic! Love Promenade Deck. All clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Interior, toward front, far enough away from elevators and stairs, 10th deck, no noises above or below.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

Only embarked/disembarked in a cluster of people

Harvest Caye, Belize

1 out of 5
Seeing Harvest Caye and saying you have seen Belize is like seeing Disney World and saying you have seen Florida. I snorkel on the "world's 2nd best reef." Coral was nice but fish were AWOL

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

2 out of 5
Seems like cruise lines got together, found a pretty stretch of beach in a tiny village and said, "Let's build a port here." Not impressed.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Much better organized than embarkation, but surprised at the number of guests who opted for early out.

I always book my NCL cruises from their website. The only fare that doesn't give you Free at Sea is : sail away fare. It's pretty clear and marked when booking...At check out, it also tell you what options you chose. If you didn't see those selected options, that means you selected a Sail Away restricted fare. Hop you enjoyed your cruise😉

You have to get out of the port area in Costa Maya to really enjoy it.
