I’m pretty sure all my comments left in each section gives you a brief overview of my cruise know not everyone will have the same experience but there was nine of us total that went on this trip and each of us agreed I was the one with the most cruise line experience and chose to make this review to help out anyone in the future
Embarkation

I guess things are getting tough or they are just short staff but getting on the ship was absolutely a nightmare you have multiple Khios is but not enough staff to assist with getting on over 500 to 1000 people it made absolutely no sense standing in a long uncoordinated line. With everyone saying your vacation starts now you should at least be accommodated while you’re waiting. I’m not sure if it’s the cruise lines fault or the port of Miami but something has to change

Food and Dining

I hate that they put this food and drink section together but let me start off with the food
Food - as far as taste goes and options I’ll give it 3 1/2 four stars the ship does give you a variety of options to choose from so I’m you have to pay a cover fee for and others are complementary however be prepared to wait and when I say wait I mean it. If you’re expecting to go to shows or events just cancel dinner and go to the buffet grab something quick and carry-on because you will be waiting for 3 to 5 hours for a cold meal to come out.
Drinks - you’re better off sneaking alcohol on board because you’re going to have to wait hours just to get a glass of water but if you sign up for the alcohol package be repaired to lose your buzz and just give up hope on trying to have a good time short staff long lines and one drink per person
Onboard Activities

I guess we were going through a tropical storm and they had to cancel or relocate a lot of activities but they didn’t notify anybody of the changes being made
Entertainment

Please see previous comment but I will say overall the theater performances were very good the dancers and the singers were excellent but as far as other events there was no notification that shows were relocated or not going to happen you would sit in a theater or lounge area waiting for a name that tune or trivia game to start and no one would show up only to find out it’s been relocated or canceled
Service and Staff

I give my room attendant five stars I did not have much interaction with her but she did keep the room clean and I have no complaints there however the rest of the staff on board the ship made absolutely no sense should be retrain unqualified no customer service I can go on and on.
First off not my room attendants fault but the bed mattress should not have allowed stains or stains it’s absolutely disgusting if there’s an issue like that on the shipper at any other rooms that should be addressed. Also we had lights and switches that did not work how do use the flashlight function on our phones just to see in the room when was it was brought up to customer service relation does they advise there’s no other rooms available
I watched a bartender fight with a guess on two occasions
And during the trip back home from Nassau we lost an artistic friend of ours that was in our group we weren’t sure if he boarded when we try to go to to get Services to ask him to make an announcement and to bring it to their attention and they told us to go to the back of the line it is not an emergency and wait our turn luckily after ours an hours of searching for him our self we were able to locate him and he was safe but this could’ve
Ship Quality

I believe it’s a very old or ship it could use a couple of updates and things can be changed but overall it wasn’t that bad
Cabin / Stateroom

From a bloody mattress to lights and outlets that did not work it was a nightmare my room attend it was awesome but the experience was very disgusting and foul
I don’t know if this is not Regan‘s fault or not but disembark meant should be changed the way they rush you off the ship any final bills are past due notices should be handled the night before not while you’re trying to disembark. I was separated from my group and family because my account was flagged due to the ship owing me $16 and had to return it to me in cash he could’ve returned it to me to my credit card that was on file or return in another way but I had to go to the back of the line gets processed through security all over again when I’m already passed through the final point just so they can give me $16 back that something that they should’ve notified me the night before or just return to my card
NJcruiseGuy - I’ve been on over 20 different cruises, multiple with Norwegian and Royal Carribean and never have I ever had such a bad experience. I traveled all over the world the plane and ship and I’m just relaying my information in my experience out there for others.
While our experience on the Pearl may not have been as bad as yours, I don't doubt all of this is true. It was our first time on any Norwegian ship and also our last. The staff was very unfriendly all over the ship regardless of their position. Ship was in need of work as well.
