Review summary

Food has very limited options. Buffet foods are the same every day... Only the main dinning restaurant maintains good standard of food tastes, other restaurants serve very crappy foods. Limited varieties.

I don't enjoy the free style of the ship. Less organized, less fun. People come and go. The disembarkment at San Fran was chaotic. We were made to wait in line for 2.5 hours outside of the ship, in the cold outdoor.

The only thing I like food wise was the Salmon

I hear people say they wait hours and hours in line for norweigan.. this will be my first cruise with ncl and we have a suite *not a mini suite* i heard that helps with boarding??? that there pis a fast boarding when u have a suite. is that true? I pray after reading about food from ur comments that the speciality food restaurants are decent as we have those for every night.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food options on this cruise and loved the free style aspect. Not sure I would want to cruise any other way as the herd mentality just doesn't appeal to us. We had many specific dietary needs and all were catered to very well with lots of options. Traveling with teens made us appreciate freestyle even more. Our only issue was a very pushy room steward and, while our feedback about this was provided to NCL, there has been a complete failure on their part to respond which I find unacceptable.

Sailed 3 times on the Pearl. 14 meal venues is more than enough for me
