Cabin type: Oceanview

Traveled as: Singles/Friends

Review summary

The ship was beautiful and the staff was helpful, but there was not enough attention paid to details. For example, the excursion staff did not take a "head count" and 2x left without us (NCL excursion staff did not specify where to meet for excursions), and left us AT an excursion another time! Also, when had plumbing problems 2x during the cruise and both times it took at least 8 hours to be addressed (1 time we had to wait 15+ hours!). Also, individualized needs were not accomodated (i.e. extra blankets, enough towels, etc) making the cruise experience extremely unpersonalized. Lastly, the guests were not able to serve themselves at the buffets ; the buffet staff were often rude when asked for additional portions/extra condiments, etc.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The dining staff was very helpful and willing to return items, etc. to ensure the dining experience was pleasureable.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Lots of options (typically every half hour there was something new to do), but the "nightly" entertainment was limited.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
As above

Ship Quality

Often the "public" restroom areas were not functioning, and were in dire need of cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

As above

Ports of call

St. George's, Bermuda

The thing that people should know before cruising to Bermuda is that most things close at 5:00pm! Tourist areas, shopping, most resturants- everything! It rained almost every day of our cruise and there really was not enough to do on the island, esp. since we were docked there for 4 days.
Don't Miss: Nothing really stands out ...

Pros: The ability to chose when to go to dinner.

Cons: There wasn't enough entertainment options (only 1 disco).
