Review summary

The Norwegian Jewel is not a new ship but it is very well cared for. There were always people working to keep it in great shape. We never felt like we were in a crowd (except boarding) and the service was outstanding. The food... best of any cruise I have been on. The main dining room was incredible and I think the longest we ever waited was maybe 10 minutes. The other restaurants on board were also outstanding. Our favorite was Cagneys Steak House where our daughter had her sweet 16 birthday. No regrets.

I'm not sure our Steward ever slept... he was always around and almost felt like one of our family.

We had a great time at a beach the taxi driver took us to. This is the place to get a Jet Ski. You have freedom to roam on your own.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Too crowded. But they are building so it will probably improve. I have faith in Norwegian to make this a good stop.

Port Canaveral, Florida

We went to Cocoa Village where we found some very intersting things to buy (a couple of antiques). We had lunch at Tapas Restaurant that was so good we want to go back again next time we are near.

Pros: The food and the service!

Cons: Horseshoe Cay (the Private Island)
